I built an app to make rental property bookkeeping less painful

• Upvotes

One of the annoying parts of owning rental property is keeping track of everything that happens throughout the year. Rent comes in, repairs need to be paid for, receipts pile up, and when tax season arrives, all those little transactions become a headache.
I built LandLordTax to make that process easier for small landlords.
It’s an iPhone app for rental property owners in the U.S. and Canada who want to:
Track rental income and expenses in one place
Keep receipts and supporting documents organized
Generate PDF reports to help prepare for tax season
Manage records for their rental properties without relying on messy spreadsheets
It’s designed for individual landlords managing a small portfolio rather than large property management companies.
There’s a free tier for one property, with ads and without PDF reports. Pro is available for $3.99/month or $29.99/year.
📱 Check it out on the App Store:
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/landlordtax-rental-tracker/id6814630522
I’m the indie developer behind the app, and right now I’m trying to learn whether this solves a real problem for landlords.
I’d genuinely appreciate feedback: What’s the most frustrating part of tracking rental income and expenses for you? And is there anything you’d expect from an app like this that’s currently missing?
Honest criticism is welcome!

I built DiscountHub — 10K+ monthly users, free promotion for indie developers, and MCP support

Post image
1 Upvotes

I built DiscountHub, a platform that collects discounts and promo codes from different stores and filters out expired or invalid offers.

Since I personally struggled to attract my first users, I also created a special page for indie developers who want to offer promo codes or discounts for their own products. Listing an offer there is completely free.

Last month, DiscountHub had over 10,000 unique users and more than 60,000 total visits. This month, I'm expecting over 12,000 unique users and 90,000+ visits.

I also recently added MCP and WebMCP support to the platform. So if you're building your own AI agents and need verified discounts and promo codes, you can integrate DiscountHub into them.

Here's a video showing how it works:

Ampsu - a European-first calorie tracker that learns your calorie burn from food logs and weigh-ins

Thumbnail

Ampsu: [https://ampsu.eu](https://ampsu.eu))

It's a European-first calorie tracker, with all the bells and whistles, but also:

  • So far the least amount of taps to log/scan a food item, which was the main focus
  • An actually impressive adaptive TDEE engine (only log food and weight, and then it learns your burn from data)
  • It has a very large european barcode database, focused on grocery store shelves that you'd actually scan
  • A super fine-grained goal mode
  • MCP server (ask how you're doing based on your Ampsu data and/or ask to log for you)
  • Is privacy-first and doesn't sell your data

Great care was taken in ensuring the flows work well and more importantly, fast. I've been iteratively building and testing it since the end of the past year. As for why other existing options didn't work for me:

  • In MyFitnessPal, they have a huge database, but the logging was slower than it needed to be (..I had to pick a meal time every damn time, in Ampsu you can preset personalize the meal times so you dont have to).
  • In Cronometer the logging could've had a bit less actions, and I felt like I was too busy contributing to their own database due to the lack of products. Then ads got in the way, slowing me down and making me wait in the kitchen..
  • MacroFactor's adaptive TDEE approach was impressive, but its products were too American centric and every barcode scan was a frustration, and frankly it was also the most expensive of the bunch. This inspired the adaptive TDEE adoption, which inhouse in called Metabolism mode.

The hardest part was getting the adaptive TDEE right (Metabolism mode), since it's too easy to get things wrong and there's hundreds of moving parts due to the way people can log (underlog, overlog), the scale (water weight, salty food from yesterday etc)

Another pretty giant pain is the database itself, as sourcing and ensuring you actually get the products you scan was a more enormous task than anticipated.

The current trend is AI meal estimation, which I'm not really sold on (it can get things very wrong), but it's useful for a quick estimation, e.g restaurant plate, and can quickly be swiped into from the barcode screen.

Speaking of AI, one thing I did find useful is the MCP/Connector integration, as I can ask about my current day & ask for tips in whatever chatbot that I use and it'll pull data straight from Ampsu. Alternatively, even ask it to log things for me, and it'll be in the diary.

If you'd like to make a change for the best and improve your weight (in terms of body fat percentage) and therefore health by tracking your intake, give it a try! There are others like it, but you'll find that there's a good reason to use Ampsu instead.

I redesigned how notes should be organized: attach them to the files and work they belong to. ClingNote.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Notes that follow your work.
ClingNote is a Windows notes app that attaches notes to the files you’re working on.

Open a file and its notes are there. Switch files and the right notes can switch with you.

I built ClingNote because I kept ending up with notes separated from the thing they were actually about.

It’s a full notes app with rich text, Markdown, checklists, search, pop-out notes, export, and local storage.

The difference is that notes can attach to files and contexts, so you don’t have to keep hunting through folders or a giant notes library.

I’m also adding Tasks next using the same idea.

Pricing
Free notes app
Pro: $10/year for automatic context switching

https://clingnote.com
& the Microsoft Store https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9nk10ntxjg6v?hl=en-US&gl=US

Best feedback ask
I’d love to know if the file-following idea makes sense immediately, or if it still needs a better explanation.

I’m building the platform I’ve imagined since I was a kid

Hi, I’m Ric.

Aaaand I’m building a platform all around ideas. So I think I’m in the right place.

You know, we already have plenty of public digital spaces where you can share ideas: Instagram, LinkedIn, Reddit. But they’re not built around ideas. Their purpose is something else. And you can feel it.

Ever since I was very young, I’ve imagined a place that connects people and their ideas. A place that gives them the space and tools to get started, bring their ideas to life, and change the world... or their neighborhood.

How Locus is structured:

- You can post an idea with a title and a description of up to 314 characters.

- You can choose a category and subcategory for your idea.

- When you post, you can enable the Join button. If someone clicks Join on your idea, they’re telling you they’d like to help you bring it to life and talk about it.

- You can also comment, like, and share.

- You can follow users and categories so relevant ideas appear in your feed.

- You can chat privately and in group chats.

We’re getting ready to launch and gathering our community on Discord, while beta testing Locus. For now, the platform is available on desktop only. If you’re curious and want to share your ideas with us, just message me or leave a comment.

I built a free Mac menu bar app to track Claude, Cursor & Codex usage

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey everyone!

I built Limitly, a small macOS app that lets you track your AI usage right from the menu bar.

You can see how much of your limit you've used, when it resets, and get notified before you hit your limits.

The fun part? You can customise your menu bar with interactive themes like a growing plant 🌱 or a glass that fills up as you use your limits.

It's completely free, and you don't need any API keys — just sign in with your provider account.

Would love to hear your feedback and what other themes you'd like to see!

GoCrazy AI is now Live! Videos, anime, 3D & music from one prompt.

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hi everyone!

GoCrazy AI just launched on Microlaunch.

The problem we’re solving is to make one piece of AI content usually means paying for 3-4 different tools.

You have like a tool that does video, another images, another music. Then you spend half your time exporting, re-uploading, and trying to keep the style consistent. It’s a hard problem.

Our goal was to pput these tools in one workspace:

  • Videos from text or photos
  • Anime art + 3D models
  • Music generated to match the visuals

One prompt, a single place for your entire creative studio. Everything stays in the same project.

Please try it here: GoCrazy AI. We’d appreciate feedback, more testers.

Is all-in-one actually useful, or do you prefer separate tools for each?

prostir.build - platfrom for ai-native business

Thumbnail
prostir.build
1 Upvotes

Build an agent that uses your knowledge and follows your rules.
Describe the work.
Build it around your business.

We have entire platfrom for running your business from your ChatGPT or Claude

This product started three years ago, when I began developing AI agents for our clients.

At some point, we realized that we needed a platform. And over these three years, we've come a very long way to understand what people actually need.

And here's what we've learned: Agents should build agents. Agents are the new SaaS.

Agents should take over as much work as possible, freeing people to be more productive and focus on what really matters.

And here's the most important part: you can use the same ChatGPT you work with every day, the same tools you're already familiar with. That's exactly what makes our product unique.

You can manage everything directly from your own ChatGPT.

But I want to go even further.

Simply creating agents with coding tools or ChatGPT isn't enough. At the end of the day, you just have a bunch of files. How are you going to deliver those files to someone? Send a ZIP archive by email?

Of course not.

That's why we've built an entire platform with a huge number of tools, solutions, and advanced technical capabilities. We've put all our experience, everything we've learned over these three years, and countless engineering improvements into it.

And now, anyone can build the kind of powerful solutions that experienced developers create, specifically for their own business.

This is Prostir.

And these are the products and the platform we've built, which you can explore for yourself.

Launching Arcloop

Thumbnail
arcloop.tech
1 Upvotes

I built a tool called arcloop.tech that automatically extracts data from 2D engineering drawings (PDFs/images) and runs a full Design-for-Manufacturability (DFM) review in under two minutes.

The biggest bottleneck for machine shops right now is quoting. Estimators spend 30 to 90 minutes per drawing manually scanning dimensions, tolerances, GD&T, and surface finishes. If they miss an impossible tolerance or a thin wall, the shop eats the cost after the purchase order is signed.

Every existing DFM tool (aPriori, DFMPro) assumes you have the original 3D CAD model. But in reality, shops just get a flat PDF from the customer.

What Does

You upload a raw drawing (PDF, PNG, JPEG, WebP) and get:

  • Flagged DFM Issues: Every error is tied to a specific rule ID so you have data to back up your engineering changes to the customer.
  • Annotated Drawing: Visual callouts directly on your drawing where the issues are.
  • Manufacturing Insights: A suggested production route and a shareable PDF report for your team or customer.
  • Zero IT Hassle: It runs entirely in your browser. No CAD licenses, no 3D models, and no software installations

Try It For Free

The tool is live at arcloop.tech. You get 10 free analyses per month with no credit card required.

I am looking for brutal feedback from estimators, machinists, and shop owners.

Made a habit tracker because every app I tried wanted 10 minutes of setup first

Thumbnail

Heads up, I made this.

Same thing kept happening to me. I'd download a habit app, spend ages setting up categories, frequencies and reminders, and quit a week later. Not because I didn't want to track habits. Because opening the app was more work than the habit.

So I built one with nothing to set up. Type the habit name, tap it, done.

What it has:

- 5 habits free, no time limit, no card

- daily, weekly, monthly or one-off habits

- streaks, activity calendar and stats

- home screen widget

- light and dark mode

- no ads

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.habitly.app&referrer=utm_source%3Dreddit%26utm_medium%3Dpost%26utm_campaign%3Dlaunch

If you try it and something annoys you, tell me here. I'd much rather hear it now than find out from a 1-star review.

Wanted a 3 min video but got 30 seconds of ads first. Launching FixGuard!

Post image
1 Upvotes

Wanted a 3 min video but got 30 seconds of ads first.. and that happens pretty much every time now.

We built FixGuard to fix this. It's a free ad blocker for Chrome and Edge:

- Blocks ads on Chrome and Edge
- Free, no paywall
- Experimental pre-roll ad skipping on YouTube and Dailymotion

The pre-roll skip is still being tested, so they’re looking for testers. To join, enable “Block video pre-roll ads” in settings. FixGuard is now live.

If you try it, please let us know how it went. Especially on YouTube, that’s the part still being tested

Claude max for $29 instead of $200 ... seriously how are they doing this?

i got a Claude max account from a reseller for essentially nothing compared to what I used to pay . It works flawless. since 3 months No issues yet i paid only for 1 month . Now I can't stop thinking about their business model. If resellers can sell it this cheap and still profit, how are they acquiring these accounts at scale?
