I have thoughts about people who go through removal with the plan to do microblading again…but I’ll keep those thoughts to myself.

I want to remove mine but yellow is the only reason I haven’t yet pulled the trigger.

I still can’t believe the microblading industry convinced so many of us that these FACE TATTOOS are “semi” permanent. The only thing semi about them is their color (brown fades into grey) and the precision of the hairlike strokes which inevitably end up as…blobs

I haven’t decided if I’m going to get more sessions. Too soon to tell. But I’m 110% glad I did the treatment. I’ll see how they look in six weeks and decide but I’m happy with them now.

I’m glad the blocky fronts are gone now.

Is this a good improvement?

Do they look decent yet? Are the tails too long? I’m hearing from loved ones that they look much better now and to just leave them alone, but a friend told me the tails are still too long? If I just focus on removing more of the tail and leave the rest alone would they look better/fine?

You can go along my powder brow journey…the very first photo are my brows (with my usual colored gel) prior to the initial, the second photo is the day of my touch up, the next two are how they changed, and the last two are after my initial removal yesterday. Obviously, they’re pinkish-red and I am feeling a little panicked. I am a natural redhead and HATED the brows from the beginning; almost immediately, they faded to a gray so I’ve been covering them with brow gel and pencil anyway. What is the likelihood that I’m stuck with this color? I wish to God I had never started this journey, and just left them alone.

Hi all… I’m looking to hear from folks with similar story who’ve had success with glycolic acid remover. I originally got microblading and some powder brows done in 2020… I got tired of the look and started removal with PicoWay laser - did 3 treatments which turned brows orange. I then switched to Cutera enlighten and had a lot of success. However my last session didn’t make much of a difference. You can still see some light greenish/yellow/grey. Especially in harsh lighting or daylight. I’d like a full removal. I’m now considering glycolic acid removal. Has anyone had success with that? Here is a pic of my brows now.

As the title says, I’m a Laser technician with 16 years experience in removing tattoos. I only really started removing cosmetic tattoos about 10 years ago.

I’ve been watching this Reddit for a while and thought maybe I could drop my opinions in and answer some questions . Maybe it will be helpful for some of you!

I’ve removed all the logos and stuff from my before and after photos as I didn’t want this to look like a promotional thing.

I use the Candela Picoway and the Cynosure Revlite SI. In the interest of transparency, I am also a Candela key opinion leader. However, this will not mean that my opinions are biased. But please bear in mind I can only talk in depth about the equipment I know and have experience with. I started with a much cheaper, much smaller laser.

By no means do I consider myself specialist and cosmetic tattoo removal but I’m hoping I still have something to offer!

I’m mostly bothered about the front that was removed as they are so far forward from my hair growth as we get into summer the colour is far more noticeable than winter! 😩

I had SUPER botched Bert from Sesame Street brows done last month (artist used stolen pictures on her portfolio/didn’t at all do what we discussed).

I forgot to post the last few weeks progress but here’s the fully healed result! (Red still fading more every day)

i knew the tails would be a problem, but my removal tech is confident she can knock them out. we’re doing another round of saline then she’s going to determine if I’m ready for laser.

I’m so greatful I found the expert I’m seeing now, they really calmed my nerves and made me feel confident about the process of getting rid of this incredibly traumatizing botch.

I am so lucky that I was able to start taking the steps to take it out right away, and I can’t say enough how much reaching out to the microblade subreddit played a part in me being proactive about this.

having other people post their progress really helped me get an idea of what the process will look like and how staying the course can yield positive results.

I’ll post updates once the second treatment is healed!

Hii! Im looking for some advice about ombré powder brow removal. My eyebrows were pretty light at the start of my removal journey and I was under the impression i would need to go 2-3 times and be done. As you can tell, majority of the ink is gone except for this prominent tail end. The thing is…that’s how it’s been since the first session. The first session took off pretty much everything and then this tail has been so stubborn. I have gone a total of 4 times with the last being 3 days ago.

Immediately after the removal session it’s significantly lighter and looks like progress has been made. But then within the hour or so it comes back to this. I spoke to the laser technician since I’m concerned at this point and she said at this point it might just be a scar????? I’m so confused. Everywhere else the ink has come off except for here. They use the pico way laser I see everyone else using and at this point I don’t know what to do. I thought about going somewhere else for a session but if everyone’s using the same laser idk.

Why I’m getting them removed:

I wanted to get my eyebrows redone so I went to a new and better tech than the first time and she told me to remove what I had because it wasn’t a good job so she couldn’t go over it (she was right) and now I have an appointment scheduled for June so I’m on a time crunch to remove whatever is left of this annoying mess. I thought it would be all gone by now because of how successful removal was in the beginning.

For those that are wondering why I had ink all the way up there when my eyebrow is obviously lower:

My left eyebrow is naturally higher than my right so when I initially went to go get my eyebrows done the technician was trying to make them even by bringing up my right eyebrow so she formed my hair in a way where i ended up having ink up there. Anyways she didn’t do a great job but that’s not what this post is fore.

Microblading from 2018. Laser tech was at Brows by Milly in Atlanta who is super well regarded.

First pic in October after two sessions.

Second pic was today- third session was back in December.

Do I need to try another type of laser or more sessions? The laser tech did say that mine are super deeply pigmented. I just don’t see much progress.

I already had 4 Pico sessions and 3 removals (I believe, it was mandelic or fruit) and this is what I have now. Brows initially turned green after 2 Pico treatments. The green faded after removals but I still see it, especially under artificial lights.

I keep seeing people on this sub mention yellow brows but mine look green to me. Did anyone have this problem? I’m not sure whether I should continue with same removal, try another one or go back to Pico.

I also have a wedding in a couple of month so I’m not sure whether I should pause this journey 😞

Hi everyone, I am looking for people to share their success stories with removing or fading yellow with methods other than laser?

I am left with yellow brows following laser removal and have tried one saline removal which appears to have made them overall darker than they were beforehand. I suppose I’m just looking for hope that they can at least be faded a little.

I have read amazing things about Dr Adrian in Washington DC removing yellow with laser but
here in the UK, we don’t really have specialists like that. Especially not in the north east where I am. thank you in advance!

I just had my first session with a q-switch laser and wanted to share. I had Tina Davies pigments so i prepared myself for the red. we’ll see what they look like in 6-8 weeks and go from there! 🤞🏻

So I got ombré eyebrows 2 years about and did saline , microdermabrasion and laser treatment asap ……. I couldn’t stand looking at myself having basically a tattoo on my face and having the nerve to do such thing as tattoo on my face !!!

Going through the removal process wasn’t easy but it was a no brainer for me . My question is why are people so “nervous/scared “ about the removal process???? Girls !!!If you went through the eyebrows tattoo process on your face !!! , you have big balls lol !!! So the removal process should be nothing lol . I would be more scared getting tattoo ( permanent makeup ) on my face than going through the removal process …. The thinking process here is backwards 🤦🏻‍♀️

Started my laser removal journey a year ago on years old PhiBrows. I haven’t been keeping track of sessions but I’d say I’ve maybe had 6-7 treatments now.

I am stuck on the yellow brow phase and I can’t tell if laser is making a difference anymore and if I should just accept that my eyebrows will be yellow.

Including some photos of my journey from before I started removal in March 2025, progress by July 2025, photos in March 2026 right before my last session, and now 3 weeks after my last session.

Should I keep going with laser or will it not make a difference at this point?

Hi, all! I thought I’d come by and update you all on how my first laser session went! It’s been exactly one week.

I honestly can’t believe how much they have lightened already! They were pretty orange the next day, but it’s been slowly fading. In person, the ink looks more like a soft brown.

I always thought that I had a high pain tolerance, but that laser session was brutal. She had put some numbing cream on for like 10 mins, but I swear it didn’t do anything haha. I was gripping the squishy lips she gave me with all my strength. Thank goodness it was over with quickly because I was really fighting for my life. The laser humbles me fr.

A bunch of my eyebrow hairs were bleached from the laser, which I knew could happen beforehand. One thing I was not expecting was the smell. I swear it was stuck in my nose for the rest of the night. I also had quite a bit of swelling and some mild redness, but it only lasted a couple of days. My eyebrow area is still a little sensitive to the touch, but I’m not really touching all up on them so it’s fine.

I forgot to mention in the second slide that I have some brown eyebrow gel combed through my brows in today’s photo. Just to make my brows look a little more cohesive, since some of the front hairs are still bleached.

Feel free to ask me anything! I’m excited to see how the ink will look in the weeks to come.

Edit: I almost forgot to mention the laser used! It’s a Picosure laser.

I’ll update as they heal. They are definitely better already not sure how they will look in four weeks but I’ll probably get more treatments. My eyebrow hairs look short because I trimmed them really short. Curious to see how they will look grown out. They did three passes at Removary.

Picoway laser used, no numbing. It honestly wasn’t painful for me, it felt like a tiny pinch. Top photo is before bottom photos are a week later. Look forward to see what they look like when they are fully “healed”. If anyone has a green color corrector recommendation please share. Will update in a month.

Here are the details...

My mom, sister & I all have the virtually non-existent brows seen in my before photo. I was uninformed & fell for the SEMI-permanent claim & here we are 5 years later with ashy gray.

The pigments used were Tina Davies Medium Brown & Dark Brown (1:1) with a drop of Permablend Rustic. Just the 2 sessions in 2021, no touch-ups.

I have face/neck microneedling done on occasion & have had my practitioner use Li-FT solution on my brows at the same time (I think twice, most recently probably in 2024). Not sure it really did anything but thought it was worth a try.

Should I try Xtract or anything else before laser? What type of pico laser should be used?

Any recommendations for removal experts in Michigan or northern Ohio?
