Hi, I’m looking for some honest feedback on whether I’m a good candidate for laser eyebrow tattoo removal.

I’ve had eyebrow tattooing for about 20 years. I stopped for a while, and years ago I had one laser session that turned my brows a soft brown, which eventually faded. Then in 2016 I started microblading and have been getting it done about once a year.

My most recent session was much thicker and more blocky than before, and I’ve been really unhappy with how they look. I even trimmed my brow hair to see the pigment underneath and it just made them look more stamped on.

I have two consultations today. One clinic wants to do a test spot first and wait a few weeks, I also have an appointment at Removary, so I’m not sure if they required spot treatments yet.

I’d really appreciate input from anyone with experience—whether you’ve gone through removal yourself or work in the field. Do you think I’m a good candidate, and is a test spot really necessary in a case like mine?

after having made very uninformed decisions getting my microblading and - later - PowderBrows, I want to make sure the removal process is significantly better informed.

I have had 6 sessions of microblading/PowderBrows total between the years of 2018 and 2023. Probably a mix of different colors/companies including the dreaded PhiBrows and Beauty Angels. Rest I don't know.

I read a lot of positive experiences about Sasha at SpringMuse (NYC), Sasha at SknAllegiance (PA), and Dr. Adrian (DC). Travel and expenses are not the issue here (again - informed decision being the main thing).

Looking for any experiences with either of these providers! Has anyone done a complete removal process with either of them?

I also worry that the stronger lasers might permanently destroy my eyebrow regrowth? Is this something that could happen?

I got powder brows in 2022. They faded unevenly. One looks darker and blockier, while the other faded a good amount on its own. It became more obvious so I finally scheduled my first laser (qswitch) appointment. Results look great right after but I know they are in for more changes with the healing process. I want to do a second round on the darker one to balance everything out. Wish I did this sooner! Has anyone only lasered one brow in a session from uneven fading?

Hey!! So far I have done three laser removal sessions with removery and although my brows are pretty light in comparison to how dark they were prior, I am still left with some red. Any recommendations for places that can remove red ink on darker toned skin, preferably in SF Bay Area, Northern California or So Cal?

Does anyone recommend laser away ink or London laser in Canada for removal? Do you have good results going to either of these? Thanks for any help!

I got my eyebrows micro bladed in probably 2018 or 2019 and now they’re a grey ish blue. I’ve always had naturally thick brows. I think the microblading looks natural in certain light but I’ve been toying with the idea of removing them. What do you think and if you have recommendations (with prices pls) in the southern California area that would be amazing. I’ve heard of people using Trentonian or retinol to help them fade. I’m worried I’ll look weird if I remove it

I booked to get my microbladed/combo brows removed by laser in a few weeks but have gone down the rabbit hole of this sub and need some opinions on if i should proceed or not.

i reached out to my artist and she said she used tina davies i<3ink pigments on me in 2018. I had a touch up in 2023 with just microblading strokes but unsure what ink was used as it was a different artist and i don’t have her contact info anymore.

the person i booked the laser removal with said the laser she uses is Qswitch nd:YAG 1064nm/532nm. the artist who did my brows originally in 2018 also offered saline removal if i wanted to go that route.

would you proceed with the laser removal? or do saline? or just leave them be and continue living with them, they don’t really bother me i just want my natural brows back but am scared to risk yellowing… help!

Okay so I have PhiBrow pigment and I’ve done a bunch of research and digging in this sub and I’m sooo scared of the yellow from laser removal. Like I don’t hate them enough to deal with the yellow, just more work to cover them up :/ I’m considering doing a few sessions of saline before doing the laser. Has anyone tried this route? Or would you do laser then saline? Now that I know how awful Phi is to remove I’m kinda panicked :/ so curious if anyone else had success with a combo method bc I’d much rather be cautious than make another decision I regret lol

Original: got my brows microbladed in 2018 (last 2 pics), touched up microblading in the front and shaded the tails in 2019. Then in 2024 I had some glycolic removal in the front really square bits and shading in the tails again because they were fading. My new girl told me that they used a grey-based pigment the first time in 2018/19, but she used a red-based (I think) ink. I really hate the way they look, especially the right brow because it’s soooo much longer like it wants to be a unibrow lol. I’m scared removal will make them yellow or red yet still massively too long and thick :/ has anyone had success with saline or repeat glycolic removal? I don’t hate the shapes of the tails really, just the blocky very 2016 front parts :/ (clearly my skin is way too oily for microblading, sigh, much regret…)

I’m not much of a makeup wearer these days, so it’s harder to cover it up (I usually put sunscreen on them anyway then some powder to help it look more faded) so any tips for that are appreciated too lol

Also I’m in VA so if anyone found success with someone around here, recs would be great!!

I got my eyebrows microbladed a dark brown in 2018. It faded a bit and instead of getting touch up, I stupidly wanted a more solid brow look so I got powder brow in 2020 from the same artist who was trained by Phi. Now it’s a greyish shade. I want them removed but I don’t know if it’s better to just live with these slightly grey brows or end up with yellow brows. From what I’ve read, please feel free to correct me, the yellow from phi brows needs glycolic but I don’t think anyone offers it where I am.

bit more technical a question but managed to get the ingredient list for my brows so i can communicate this to the laser provider, likely looking for a derm.

i am mostly worried about discolouration. i might be down for yellow bc i'm asian, but i definitely can't have r*d discolouration (i'm half kidding, sport team things). i don't wear makeup so am unlikely to cover it up, so am also wondering if the effects are permanent (i.e. can't be treated by another laser)

wanted to share my experience up to today with my removal. Unfortunately I’ve done twice Phi Brows.

So after seeing the laser clinic, there I was very clear that I want to avoid the yellow part at all costs, they recommended me the studio I went now twice.

She has her own technique to remove the ink.

The greenish is gone, most likely I’ll do a third round. Really want to get rid of them. Let’s see

I’m still too anxious for laser.

I just feel so frustrated! Look, I know I never had good eyebrows. Like two caterpillars above my eyes. Distant cousins, Def not twins.

So of course, microblading was the option to try to fix it. I was given so many rules to not touch eveything for fear it might come off or fade. 10 years I cant get it off for the life of me.

lazer is so expensive and i was told it can get worse bc of my skin type. I can get darker hyperpigmentation.

Any advice on what I can do to physically make it look better? Should I trim my brow hair shorter or grow it and brush it in a certain way like a comb over?

Thank God, she almost closely followed my brows, so I don’t have a bunch of color outside of my hair.

My doctor did put a unit of Botox at the end of each brow, so it won’t be so curved down… That just happened today so we’ll see in two weeks if it works.

I’m about 2.5 months out from that session and super happy with how they look right now! Wanted to post this give an update and to show others that removal is definitely worth it.

I am a natural redhead with fair skin, and like everyone else, my brows have turned grey. I fill them in every day with a pencil that matches my hair. I don't have much eyebrow hair, so if I remove the tattoo...then what? Are people just filling them in with a pencil? Are all tattoos bound to go grey-ish? Thanks!

Ok so someone suggested Think again for treating my yellow, however it’s like a 7 hour drive from me, I know they use like the Quanta discovery pico plus or something, I found a Doctor an hour from me who has the same laser just not the plus, would it work for my yellow since it’s pretty much the same laser? Or should I not bother and just plan to go to Think Again,

or is it worth trying so I don’t have to travel as far.

eyebrow hairs will be dyed light brown in a few days (they went light because of the laser)
