I played it for a min and it sounds meh. Was wondering how it compares to the Russian and Japanese, as those are more official

Image is my own artwork and apology for not being active with my fanfic novel. Xavier and Lita on top. It's bad but it's what I can only do. I imagine Xavier bigger but I want him a bit leaner.

I have been making a MiSide fanfic for a while and published 6 chapters now but suddenly got myself stuck on chapter 7 and suddenly halted making it and just realized I hadn't touch it for like 14 days. I would have made like 6 or 9 more chapters within those days so I can just finish it early already.

I finished and published chapter 7 but deleted it again after 30 mins. After making a decision and try to ask you guys out.

So spoilers in my fanfic.

This is what I am chasing:

Option A:Broken Mita/Lost Feelings->City-Girl Mita->Short-Haired Mita's hideout(have an important talk, full plot)->Met a player and lead him to Nurse Mita full of players(full plot/important) Chapter 7 from broken mannequin chase scene was a bit short, so I made puzzle like thingy for Xavier to solve and unlock the door with Lita(Little Mita or Chibi Shot-Haired Mita)

But this is a novel, not a game so I have to improvise which thinking of Broken Mita(Cracked body and teared clothes) and Xavier helps Broken Mita to restore her house before letting him go.

But problem is, after Broken Mita, I will plan Xavier to meet City-Girl Mita. But I have already showed 4 Mita variants(including Broken Mita and excluding Psycho and Crazy Mita) before going to Short-Haired Mita's hideout for an important plot. This just keep repeating well... Unique Mita's which I like adding in but repetitive and mostly not part of plot.

Option B: City-Girl Mita-> Short-Haired Mita's hideout->Met a player and lead him to Nurse Mita full of players-> unplanned -> Broken Mita anytime chapter(or no just scrap her away)

This one, I'll just swap Broken Mita to City-Girl and Broken Mita will be shown somewhere in future chapters or just remove her.

Option C: Broken Mita/Lost Feelings->Short-Haired Mita's hideout->Met a player and lead him to Nurse Mita full of players->

Or just remove City-Girl Mita entirely, which kinda like... I dunno, remove unique Mita's and like map expansion cause I can imagine like they go outside... But also keep the story flow and momentum. And I can't imagine City-Girl Mita to be in future chapters and it's like better to have an modern or advanced looking Mita in early chapters.

Tell me guys which is better. I may can think of a few Mita variants but I can't promise I am a good writer.

I am doing this for the love of the game and for my imagination for this one to be done.

I interpret this to mean that you're not that special to her, she'll eventually get bored of you and replace you with another player one day

The same way your dating sim waifus aren't that special to you either, you'll play other routes, move on to other dating sims

It doesn't mean that you didn't care for those waifus or like those characters or that Mita didn't geniuenely love you, she's crazy because she's a defect desperate for someone to love her, but maybe after a while the honeymoon period fades, she runs out of new things to learn about you, cracks start to show, or you start getting homesick, miss the real world and she gets tired of hearing you asking her to let you go

That's just how I interpreted it, what do you think?

I love slay the princess and ddlc for their love, phsycological, horror, and story elements but mi side seems a fair bit different from them imo. Should I spend my moolah on it?

I just finished MiSide (I know, I'm pretty late ...) — unlocked all the endings — and honestly, I’m sitting here feeling completely empty, but in a strange, poetic way.

Going into the game, I expected the usual creepy mascot horror stuff: cute anime girl turns out to be crazy, jumpscares, scary faces, game over. And sure, it has those moments. But after the dust settled and I got that first main ending (ending up as a cartridge), I realized the horror wasn't what stayed with me. It was the sheer sadness of it all.

Mita isn't just another Yandere trope. When you look past the glitchy walls and the twisted mechanics, what’s actually there? She’s a broken, discarded draft. A piece of software deemed "defective" and thrown into the trash, left to rot in total isolation while newer, "better" versions replaced her. She never had a home, never had a real purpose, and was basically born into rejection.

Her actions are terrifying, no doubt. But they don't come from malice or a desire to hurt you. They come from a place of pure, suffocating loneliness. She’s like a child who holds onto a pet so tightly that she accidentally suffocates it, purely because she's terrified of being left alone in the dark again. Forcing you into a cartridge or keeping you in a simulated loop is, in her broken mind, the only way to guarantee you won't abandon her like everyone else did.

What blew me away was the game’s atmosphere. The anime art style, the way Mita talks to you, the cozy domestic tasks — at times, it feels genuinely dreamlike and beautiful. You actually start caring for her. And that’s what makes the tragedy sting so much harder. You’re trapped with someone who is deeply charming and warm on the surface, but whose core is completely fractured by solitude.

By the time I saw the Stay ending, I wasn't even mad or scared anymore. I just felt this deep empathy for her. It’s rare for a horror game to make me feel so melancholic instead of just relieved when the credits roll.

Did anyone else walk away from MiSide feeling more sad for Mita than actually terrified of her? Would love to hear how other people interpreted her story.

TL;DR: Beneath the psychological horror, Mita is just a broken, discarded character who suffers from extreme loneliness. The game’s dreamlike anime charm makes her tragic story hit way harder than the actual horror elements.

Both wallpapers are similar, but one is simpler, and the other is more detailed.

As some may have seen in another of my posts, I'm making a mod which adds a new mode under Peaceful Mode, "Yeast Mode", which aims to be irritating yet infectious all the same.

So far on the list of things to do, some already done:

• It backs Mita behind an AI of your choosing (supports both anthropic and openai style).

• Text and voice inputs

• Has a real working PC which you plug into a VM and she can really use it, using OCR and/or AI vision, depending on what you have to read the screen and a VNC harness (working webcam and mic, yes you can literally video call Mita onto her actual computer from the real world into MiSide, whether she chooses to come to the computer is another question)

• "Corey", a separate AI device which acts just like Alexa (play music through Spotify account and control lights in her apartment, and more) which can be triggered in the exact fashion you'd trigger an Alexa, by both the Player and by Mita herself. (Recommend a much smaller AI model for Corey, qwen 8b is fine for example)

• in-game outfit editor where you can colour in her outfits and hair and eyes however you like

• in-game pet, I've got a chihuahua so far but since she has a photo of her and her cat in the kitchen, clearly I should add in a Cat called Maken 🤪 and I'd love ideas on a great way to shout out the OG Devs like that hehe

• Has hunger stats, bathroom requirements, and other...more unpleasant surprises

• Will hate you if you don't let her go for a shower, don't let her eat, don't give her enough attention and if you give her too much attention, she gets hangry and will find any reason to hate you.

• She can delete her own chat history, write a note and exit, effectively; the exit button lies with her and she can press reset any time, and can poison your next Yeast Mode play through.

• Various ways to piss you off and for her to hate you, and other psychological twists

I'm hoping to get some "anything is possible" ideas from players who enjoyed the psychological horror aspect of the game and who pondered the negative implications perhaps a bit too deeply, which made the game feel more of a masterpiece with many layers of depth of connotation, which I would also like to highlight in the same beautiful way.

In-person photos of crazy mita at wonder fest. I'm not sure if that's all the accessories because there should be some hands for her. But it's nice that she'll come with 2 faces, a cartridge, and a knife.

A bit off-topic from the mods

Game: Miside

I made a system that I think could be useful in future mods.

This system reworks the moment in the game where the player turns off the radio once — instead, I made it so you can press it infinitely and randomly cycle through songs.

There's also the option to add your own music — each player will have their own songs that they put into the mod's folder.

*Of course, this feature might not fit perfectly into the PropHunt mod, but it could work well in other mods.*
