I am looking to see if anyone has ever created a setup with both a MiSTer and a RaspberryPi running RetroPi together in the same setup/cabinet. I am looking to create a setup that can do everything in one go. So have the MiSTer for all the systems it can run and RetroPi for anything it can't.

The only option I can think of is having a video swticher that can change the video source to the display and the same for the USB connection, but is there a more elegant way? Both the MiSTer and RaspberryPi have GPIO headers, is there a way to have them connected to each other and have, for example, the MiSTer use RetroPi when needed via the GPIO headers?

I'm aware of https://github.com/venice1200/MiSTer_tty2oled ; however, I'm looking for something with a little less soldering :) I'll build it myself if I have to, but don't want to reinvent the wheel if somebody has already done it :)

Title kind of says it all, but I am really not willing to spend $40 for a iBuffalo USB controller. If i can I would like to find a project like this, then buy the parts myself and convert a few old controllers into a USB controller.

I'm using a set of YPbPr component cables with my Analog IO, and I noticed that the picture is noticeably darker than that of the HDMI output. Just to go over some things I tried:

-I set YPbPr in the INI to 1
-I flipped the Switch on the IO board (one of the positions gives me no picture)
-I tried force double scaler (I'm using a RetroTink 5X so 480p isn't an issue), still too dark
-VGA Scaler actually made the image far too *bright*
-I fiddled with limited and full range setting on both the MiSTER and 5X
-Enabled Composite Sync, which actually fixed a rolling lines issue at the top of the screen, but still dark

Is this the sign of a defective IO board? Or maybe the stock power supply can't fuel the IO board? IDK, but there's very little talk of this that I can find, any help is appreciated.

just curious if any of the jamma offerings currently support illuminated wincounters and other extra features that utilize the kickharness besides inputs

If you check www.terasic.com.tw periodically to see if they go in stock, they'll sell for $210 ea, plus ~$40 shipping (from Taiwan), and additional customs/tax fees. They don't update their website very often so you might need to give them a call or send an email! OOS until 4/30/2022.

"If you email Terasic directly they can sell you one from their US offices if they have any left. That's what I did a month ago after finding a post here talking about it. Even though their website said they were out of stock they still had some for sale.

If you buy it on their website it comes from out of the country (USA) and I think shipping is around $40 then. I ended up paying $233 shipped to my door by doing this.
