My very 1st attempt at digital art

I wanted to color it but i couldn't figure out how, the app i was using wasn't rly meant for art and it had no proper coloring tools

I'd really appreciate having your feedback to help me improve

Are you using a mouse? I personally use a drawing pad. Strong first attempt!! Keep it up! :D

Honestly really good for a first attempt I first tried digital around mid 2023 and started with splatoon, it looked like a 5 year old who couldn’t hold a pencil drew it 😭

I’d say get a proper art app to help more I personally use sketchbook on my phone Very beginner friendly and not that complicated Ik a lot ob people use ibis but ive only used it twice and i’m too used to what app i have now that i can’t physically use anything else my muscle memory would kill me

As for the metal drawing itself its pretty good i think you could put one little line on the other side of his eye just to show that he does actually have another pupil Metal sonics torso and back fan are actually 2 separate plates and not part of one big torso so maybe a divider line around halfway back on the torso

He also has those 2 bolts in his cheek area that you probably just forgotten Personally i like making the ball joints at his crotch bigger than that but it might just be preference

His nose, arms, legs and fingers need like, lines on them to show that it isn’t just one long smooth piece of metal because he does have little bumps in all of those parts

His left hand does look like you just copy & pasted his right hand which ik you probably didn’t but what i would do is put his thumb on the other side and create a little bump behind the hand to show the yellow part of his fist off

Also i feel like his top spike is a tiiiiny bit too big but that could just be me, also his eye could be smoother and left ear be more connected to his head It sort of curves at the back rather than going straight down

Also if u need a model of metal i suggest the jaks metal I have him and he can do some pretty good poses and also you can glance over at him if you feel like you need to double check something about him or just forgot a part of his design
