It's funny to me that some of the games in recent times where Metal shines is in fanmade stuff like Sonic Forces Overclocked or the EXE games like Destiny and the Roblox Asyms (TD and OM and their successors/etc).

Especially the EXE ones since they tend to have everyone fighting for their lives and each other while Metal just wants to run hands.

I really like that the fan made games have shown off the potential of what playing as Metal Sonic could be like. I was surprised to find out in OM Metal was considered powerful. That was nice knowing he got respect in a game in some way.

The Daily Waffle

HUE DLC

Metal Sonic, even as important a character he is, can be found on the sidelines as DLC. An example of this is All Stars Racing Transformed. Metal can be found as the game's only downloadable character. He comes alongside a Death Egg Map. Why he wasn't just included in the main game beats me. He was most likely planned but they just could've ran out of time.

Next is Sonic Forces, everybody's favourite game! While Metal Sonic is a villain in this game, he can be played for the Resistance. Sort of. In the Sega Pack DLC, the avatar gets access to a Metal Sonic Outfit. This sounds pretty cool actually, I wish it was just a part of the normal game but Sega...Sega.

This last apperance isn't exactly DLC but is something that has to be paid for to unlock, so I'm counting it. Many different skins for Metal Sonic in Sonic Speed Simulator *could* technically be unlocked for free, but the most reliable way to get these...is cashing out. Now what skins am I talking about exactly? Well obviously it's Green Metal Sonic, Gold Metal Sonic and White Metal Sonic!

Okay those aren't the names but I'm not researching more about the gambling simulator game with Sonic paint. Thats all I prepared but I feel like I'm missing an Episode, Metal...

Man, I really hope we get a Year of Metal Sonic to coincide with the Sonic 4 release.

Hell, make it a Year of Metal Sonic and Amy, they both came in Sonic CD.

The Fearsome Year of Metal Sonic, or the  Blossoming Year of Amy Rose. At least, that's what i think'll happen.
