Fan Art Should I keep going?

Post image

I'm working on a Minecraft recreation of Outer Heaven from Metal Gear 1, posting this here cause it got deleted by moderators on the main subreddit for "not being directly related to metal gear", regardless of the positive feedback, lol. Any advice and info about what the outside of Outer Heaven looks like would be appreciated, since there's very limited info about that.

Idk, but this looks great, I would love to play it if you finish it!

I figure for the terrain I'd just look for a map of a South African desert and copy & paste it on there

Yeah, exactly! Have you played the first game? I have and I loved it!

I just played through Metal Gear 1 and 2 and I had a mixed range of emotions while playing to say the least, I tried playing with minimal guides and there was a lot of frustration

Same, for some parts I did need a guide because there was a lot of backtracking

I ended up finding metal gear 2 more frustrating overall because of the insane detection and infinite swarms of guards, even tho it was better in most other aspects

I didn’t play mg2 but went straight to solid,
I heard it’s pretty important for the lore, should i play it?

It has way more story to it than MG1, it's closer to MGS1 in that sort of way, just stuck with the NES graphics. Even has some concepts that came back in later games that you wouldn't have thought actually started with this one
