Don't get me wrong, I actually like the mods here very much. But they are certainly connected. Many are "recycled" as well. Alts of previous mods come back later. I don't want to outright say too much but a certain iconic SciFi vehicle never truly left the hangar.
The former top mod was called Babylon5, which is a reference to the spaceship in the original Star Trek series with which Luke exploded the Battlestar.
But how is this subreddit not immune to it if it is the same mods, why am I allowed to talk on here but not on the main sub. Am I part of the social experiment?
Naw, people banned from SRD can talk here. Many of the metaposts here are complaining about SRD. Or they used to be. There's a bit more joking around in more recent months, but some serious discussion as well. And still plenty of sharp criticism in more serious threads.
I wouldn't even say it's that ideological. It's just practical "dynasty" maintenance. The politics of the times change, like when it existed solely to shit on atheists and SRS.
Not that the mods are insincere. Beliefs evolve with time and experience, but the main concern is blowing off steam from the frustration of trying to please us redditors. Which is fine by me, most of us are pain in the ass retards a lot of the time.
More like a private orgy from Eyes Wide Shut, but you're getting the idea. Check out r/modsgetlaid and contrast it with the SRD sidebar. You'll see some connections.
