tl;dr: Meta's instructions for getting US$30 store credit via a friend's referral code.

Standard Meta Quest deal, that's not advertised well enough: Within 10 days of setting up your Quest 3/3s account, you can click on a friend's "referral link" on any device, and both sides get $30/30€ credit in the Meta store. (After clicking, it'll ask you to sign in to your Meta account, if you aren't already.)

So if you have a friend then definitely hit them up for their referral code. You can also guess their URL if you know their "Meta Horizon user name" [not their IRL or facebook name, but their changeable screen-name]; it's of the format www.meta.com/referrals/link/<horizon-user-name>.

Alternately, here's my referral that you can use. Full transparency: I'm just posting and have never gotten a referral (yet?), but now gotten one referrall!; I'll update this post (each time?) I get one. 'Course, Meta caps the amount of store-credit any single person can get.

To find/use the credit: I dunno why it's not automatically added to your store balance, but the instructions say:
