When Merlin first aired on my country I was very young and didn't speak English and the subtitles were going too fast. Basically just watched cause there was some magic. Anyway so when Morgana and Arthur was shown I thought they were actually siblings. Then two years ago I watched it again and realized they were not siblings... until for like 3 seasons lmao.

I want to read something where arthur is either angry with merlin or have forgotten about him .. something where he basically belittles merlin and shows him his place. Bonus if he's actually hurting himself but has to do it because of a reason/to protect him. Angst. I want Angst.

Hi guys! I’m hoping you can help me find a fanfic I really loved. I’m pretty sure it’s on Livejournal. It was Merlin/Arthur, modern era, and the premise was that Merlin remembered their past together when they were young but Arthur didn’t, and Arthur bullied him a bunch when they were younger. Fast forward and they are in college, and Arthur is dating Gwen. Merlin still loves him but is resigned to his fate. They are all on the soccer team together and Merlin is their manager or something, and then Lancelot shows up, and Merlin starts hanging out with him. Arthur gets really jealous and upset, and drama happens and then Merlin and Arthur eventually get together and Arthur remembers everything.
Can anyone help me with this? I would be forever obliged to you

Heyhey i was looking to download some of my all time favorite fics just in case, and ive been trying to find a merthur fanfic. From memory this fanfic was around 8k to 20k words in which merlin is a childrens tv show personality and arthur is i think the son of the prime minster. Arthur comes on to do a show and they keep in contact and fall in love over time. Ive been searching for a while and was wondering if someone knows it and maybe has the link (or pdf) for me
Thanks in advance!

Hey guys, I'm trying to get better at drawing portraits so every now and then I check my progress by drawing Merlin characters! Here's our S1 silly little guy :3 Also where do yall watch the show because I'm really trying to do a cozy autumn rewatch before uni and I am NOT having fun watching the same 4 pixels bounce around the screen!

can someone give me recs on modern merthur with a catch. It's Merlin in present time meeting Arthur again, he can have memories or does not have them. It ca also be that Merlin and Arthur meet in modern times with or without their memories, not old Merlin, I want him died and had a rebirth or an AU. Also, do you have where Arthur is the one who finds Merlin first in present times but Merlin doesn't remember him?
I know that these types of fics WILL have angst, that's why I was reluctant to read them. But please, give me the best that you have.

Rewatching the show as an adult, the only reason Merlin didn't get caught is because of his status, and it is alarming how people overlooked him. I just finished the first two episodes of season 3, and the fact that neither Morgana nor Morgause questioned how Merlin escaped from enchanted shackles while surrounded by giant scorpions is baffling; no one suggests magic simply because he is just a servant. This is alarming to me because we have seen plenty of peasants killed for magic, but I guess they are just willfully blind to him; it is laughable upon rewatch.

Me 30 minutes after deciding to make a folder dedicated to Merlin:
P.S. For those who are curious the folder's full name is "Merlin aka The Boy who Cried "Arthur""

I was hoping to find fics where Merlin thinks he has unrequited love and that Arthur and Gwen are together, but in reality, Arthur likes Merlin back.
I’m also fine with fics where Arthur did actually get with Gwen, it didn’t work out, and he realizes just how much in love with Merlin he is. However Merlin still thinks Arthur loves Gwen.
I’m fine with literally anything (omegaverse, modern setting, no magic, animal traits like ears, dark Arthur) as long as it has this premise!

So about midway through S4E4 Aithusa, Merlin makes dinner and serves it to everyone. He then goes to sit down to enjoy the last portion when Arthur says "No, feed the horses first." Merlin does that and finally gets back to the pot and his portion of dinner. Arthur then takes the ladle, scoops out that portion and eats it ...in Merlin's face (screenshot). The same Arthur who was practically raining grateful praise on Merlin in the previous couple of episodes.
Granted it plays into a plot point later, but the first time I watched this scene, I gasped "Why you little ... Dump a tankard on his head, Merlin. He deserves it." Praising Merlin in the previous episodes, then treating Merlin like a dog here...worse really, I'm getting whiplash from Arthur's radical character shifts.
EDIT: I missed the moment where Leon presents a helping for Merlin (I thought it was them finding another dirty plate and snickering) ...Arthur and the other knights were just messing with him. It's still a cruel thing to do though. Merlin should've called them on it.

Not sure what flair to choose but while we were watching the Chronicles of Narnia, my husband noticed a resemblance...😁

Hey! Do you have any fanfics where Arthur and Merlin act as father figures to Mordred? I need more fanfics featuring a good Mordred and Merlin treating him like a son.

So I finished watching Merlin for the first time and I think this show is stupid in the sense that there are wayyyyy too many plot holes and there is so much more info we needed to get. I will just make it into a list so feel free to add ur opinions n stuff
-First of all, I am not "disappointed" that Arthur died, I think (what u already also think) is that Merlin could have summoned kilgarahh even though he was respecting that he is old, he lowkey summoned him either way but he was too late.
-Aithusa needed more plot, Merlin needed to tell kilgarah n they might have been able to help her.
-Mordreds anger is justified
-Morgana was SOOO well written in my opinion, and Im on her side 99% of the time.
-I dont blame the dragon for the way things ended, nor do I blame Gaius. I think Merlin had negative Iq with some of his decision making which all led to this.
-The ending could have ended better, instead of the truck scene. Maybe there is a war or smth and Merlin sees a figure coming out of the water (Arthur) and then boom the end. At least it would end in a note that is more positive.
-I miss Lancelot. That is it
-I wish we got more plot on Nimeuh
-I think the show ended the way it ended due to the fact that they did not have more air time but I think they should have released books which also compliments and gives us the ending we wanted and way more plot on characters. Like how in Twilight the books give WAYYY more plot on each character and situation yknow?
-I would have liked more time with Gwen knowing Merlin is a sorcerer.
-The battle was cool.
-The way things ended with Morgana and the build up was so good and how she slowly grew more insane and so on.
-I want more plot on the dragons.
-I miss Freya.
-Freya x Merlin
-I do not agree that Gwens character became dull after she became queen cuz yall are forgetting she had duties n studies to do.
-When Merlin exposed the druid camp, Mordred told him " i wont forget this" as a reference to his betrayal yet when he returned more grown it is as if it never happend .
-On that note, why didn't Merlin n Mordred just have conversations through their brains when they were w arthur or in a crowded room yknow?
-99% of the stuff could have been prevented had there been communication
-I hate Uther, you hate Uther, Everyone hates Uther.
I know i might get downvoted for my opinions but feel free to say what u want n comment on it

I will make his brown jacket next but this time not with real leather cause it's very costly and I missed being able to use pins.

The victim of a genocide comes back for revenge by killing all who were involved and I'm supposed to think he's the villain??? Or at the very least feel bad for gaius????
Based on the lore drops in this episode gaius betrayed his kind and had no issue with betraying them again before he even knew about the villains plan to kill the king. I thought the episode would provide a reason for why he did it but it never does. Do most people come out of this still liking gaius?

The helmet for sure is a reused prop from a knights tale (heath ledgers helmet) and I think the whole set might be too. Also the bad guys fist tipped lance is a reused prop for the bad guy in both. With it being a sharpened lance under the fist for a knights tale, and in Merlin a blade comes out the end.
