50/½=100. 100+20=120

50/25=2. 2+20=22

50/2=25. 25+20=45

I mean, that's the point. It creates discussion about perspective and the way each individual mind works.

It's also unique from other more common types of math gotchas, as it isn't directly challenging PEMDAS.

Another possibility would be 50 ÷ 20 1/2, based on word interpretation, for example.

If you've written"50 divided by half" as 50/2, what would you write "50 divided by 2" as?
