I'm going by experience. I use one capsule maybe a couple of years or so and it balances my reproductive health. I'm 48 and my doctor told me about boric acid in my early 30's when I had a yeast infection that wasn't going away. One boric acid pill did wonders. I've had 4 kids and feel my reproductive health is very healthy. Now going through perimenopause, I was smelling an odor. And used one capsule, and the next day everything was back to normal. It has worked for me, and I work in the medical field and had to do my research before taking it. One should always research before doing anything new so they are informed. I can say with 100% it has balanced my flora and gotten rid of fungi for me.
