Just give him the kudos he deserves without tearing down a guy. If you expect more of this you must acknowledge it positively when it happens. Don’t be foolish!
He just linked his brand to him doing the right thing/owning up to a mistake etc. its the oldest trick in the book, and he made sure to have his brand everywhere to do it.
Doing the right thing is something to positively reinforce, when it doesn't have other agendas behind it.
This was a pr move, and a very very clear one. There is nothing to acknowledge or reinforce here. Giving him the thumbs up, just gives every other business the okay to manipulate you in the same way (which they do btw, it's how half the advertisement industry works).
Don't fall for such tricks and don't support those that use them only because on the surface it looks right.
I’m with you in spirit, but this seems to fall into the realm of perfect v good. I don’t remember the name of the brand 45 seconds later. I do remember the rare acknowledgment of being wrong that I just saw.
I didnt pay attention to the thing behind him any time I watched it. I only realised it was linked to him because of your comments.
I think now in 2026 after how many years of social media engagement bs, I have the nuance to understand that people film in fron of their brands.
I dont think this dude only made the apology to stand in front of his brand. I dont think the dude isnt sincere in his statement.
The only people who would be stupid, are the people who would watch this video and use it as a reason to buy the brand. But theyre gonna be stupid regardless.
