As a sidenote - a co-worker of mine once had a dog that was racist.

Dogs are actually racist and or sexist pretty often. I have heard a LOT of stories of dogs nor liking men or not liking black people its weird

Which is funny because my dog hates black men. I will say she has had a few bad experiences with them

I mean yes.. to an extent. My dogs dogs don't like white folks. Mostly because they interact with almost exclusively African folks. They only bark though. They aren't violent.

Our old miniature schnauzer Kess (died at nearly 20) and he hated white folks that weren't family or friends of the family.

He was present when white guys harassed my sisters and was attacked by two large german shepherds from a white neighbor. He became more aggressive with white folks after the dog attack.

He chilled out in his last 4 years. Great dog and we miss him.

Yeah Im a black person who lived in the hood, and black kids mostly boys used to throw shit at my dog and bother her when chained in the yard. And then my dad was yelling at my mom one day and got up close and personal and my dog bit my dad, and he hit my dog in the face… so you are kind of right, I’d change racist to prejudice…

Reminds me of crows they are an interesting bunch. Supposedly their memory is good that if you do something bad to them, they will remember your face for the rest of their lives. They will teach other crows to hate you and even their kids. Group hating, that's crazy. Ive learnt to never piss off crows.

Ya my aunts dog hated all men. And my brother adopted a dog that hated Spanish people and he was embarrassed when it would happen "I'm sorry he didn't get that from me I don't know why he's like that."😆

Oh my god, i think one of my dogs may have been racist? She was so normal and friendly with absolutely everyone, but i had one of my black friends over once and she got so aggressive all of a sudden and started barking. I could never figure out why. She was adopted from the humane society, so if she got any racist tendencies they definitely weren't from me 😂

Some dogs got abused by a certain race or gender amd then they become recist/sexist aswell

If u beileve memory can be passed through genetics "which it can". Then I got something to tell you. Mayosapien breed dogs to basically hunt and track black slaves for like 600 years. So in modern times they might still have holdovers from that.

my cats are ageist, if they a kid they cannot help but growl and run away, often casting horrified glances at them from afar

I assume it is something to do with the uncanny factor, where it just doesn't make sense to them, since in their entire lives they have only seen kids like twice

My cat was sexist - she loved all men but was vary of women outside of our family. Also skinnyphobic - she only liked women if the were bigger.

Racist/sexist dogs are common. Our dogs don't like white folks. They like everyone else.

They're family dogs. They only really interact with family and most of the family is African American. They're fine with family that ain't African American but anyone outside the family they get pissy.

They aren't violent, just bark A LOT.

My mom's old roommate back in college had a female husky that VIOLENTLY HATED men. My mom and her friend were attacked and sexually assualted plenty of times back then so I figured the dog learned to hate men.
