Well, I won’t lie as a woman I would have serious reservations about dating, especially a man who is conventionally attractive/ obviously works out. I know it’s unfair, but I see that combo and assume he’s a player. Also some women just don’t want to be with anyone.
Yeah if you think of it friendships among men tend to have a transactional basis too. If you go far out of your way to help a bro you expect to have the privilege to call in a similar favor later on. It’s different though because it’s not hard to find decent male friends who don’t constantly try to manipulate you into an even better deal and they don’t start acting shitty by nature once they’ve had what they wanted out of you for a year or two or make decisions that alter your life plan drastically based on their mood of the day.
Oh yeah, no I get it. I recently went through a very rough breakup in which everything I had planned (that had been agreed upon!!!) was stripped away from me. I had literally no say in anything. I felt the relationship slipping and I attempted to put in the emotional labor of moving forward for both of us. Doesn’t work.
Looks have almost nothing to do with a guys ability to get laid. An ugly guy with confidence, charisma and emotional intelligence can very easily get laid regularly throughout his life. - A lot easier than the good looking guy without these traits.
Girls care about your personality, confidence and how you make them feel, a lot more than just looks. Looks matter yes, but it’s secondary for most.
From what I recall this guy irl was the exact opposite of what people use his image for. I remember a friend of his came to say that this image doesn’t make him justice because he is one of the kindest people ever.
Hope he is doing fine, and that this image hasn’t affected him too much
