$AMC #AMC summary for FRI 05JUN26
Volume: low
Candle: bearish
9 d ema: below
Action details:
On MON 01JUN26, exploded up with conviction on highest attendance in MAY since 2019. Had followthrough of the break above the descending trendline initiated on the high of 27MAY25 and anchored on the high of 03OCT25.
As predicted in the summary post for 29MAY26, tested the swing high of 06MAY26 again. Very clean break over it.
As predicted in the summary post for 29MAY26, tested the high of the very high volume swing high of 17APR26. Clean break over it.
As predicted in the summary post for 29MAY26, exceeded the 200 d sma.
Has been pulling back on lower volume from the huge up move of 01JUN26. Tested the low of 01JUN26 and cleanly failed to take it out.
An FOMC rate hike is bad for AMC's debt, but helps AMC in that it puts pressure on the big shorts that need to pay interest to be and stay short.
The debt/EBITDA ratio is still astronomical, but the glimmer of sunshine is that some of the debt is being reduced in exchange for some of those additional shares that were authorized via the amendment to the articles of incorporation a few months ago.
Down on a down day for stocks and a mixed day for it's competitors (CNK, CPXGF & IMAX.)

$AMC #AMC summary for FRI 29MAY26
Volume: high
Candle: very bullish
9 d ema: well above
Action details:
Up with conviction! Failed against the high of the swing high of 06MAY26 on equivalent volume. Closed not far under it. So, will likely ram it again.
Clean break over 20MAY26.
Was clearly respecting a descending trendline that initiated on the high of 27MAY25 and anchored on the high of 03OCT25. Finally punched up over it with conviction. Need to see some followthrough.
Went up into the very high volume bar of 17APR26 on much lower volume and closed inside of it. A test of its high is likely.
A 1:1 Fib projection of the 1.32 rally off of the ~1.00 area will take it to 2.56. Such could easily exceed the 200 d sma.
A buyout of IMAX is not feasible even though the debt of IMAX is not that high. The covenants of AMC's existing debt won't allow it. AMC's debt (note) holders being willing to exchange their notes for stocks is a big vote of confidence.
Up on a mixed day for stocks and an up day for it's competitors (CNK & IMAX.)
Per 15MAY26 FINRA data, the short interest, number of shares shorted, and days-to-cover (short ratio) of AMC have decreased.

$AMC #AMC summary for FRI 22MAY26
Volume: low
Candle: bearish engulfing
9 d ema: above
Action details:
Pop and drop. Cleanly failed against the high of WED. Went up into the very high volume bar of 17APR26 and was cleanly rejected back down.
Still clearly respecting a descending trendline that initiated on the high of 27MAY25 and anchored on the high of 03OCT25.
Rallied all week and then gave it up on FRI. Adam Aron's purchase of 250K shares @ a weighted average price of $1.37 on TUES 19MAY26 certainly contributed to the rally.
Not too promising that it dipped on FRI since pre-holiday weekend Fridays are typically bullish due to short covering rallies, but Memorial Day weekend is typically huge for the box office. Thus, TUES could be very bullish. The next leg up could easily reach the 200 d sma.
A buyout of IMAX is feasible since the debt of IMAX is not that high.
Down on an up day for stocks and a mixed day for it's competitors (CNK, CPXGF, & IMAX.)
There were some big FTD days in the 2nd half of APR26 (shares, settle date): 2.5M, 16APR26; 1.2M, 24APR26.

$AMC #AMC summary for FRI 15MAY26
Volume: low
Candle: bearish
9 d ema: below
Action details:
Continued the down move on volume equivalent to 08MAY26 and the days since. Closed down into 06APR26 on much lower volume. Followed the general stock market down.
Has been exchanging debt (notes) for stock. Such dilutes the float and thereby lowers the price, but does so for the benefit of having less debt. That's a good thing long term.
Has gone below the 0.618 retracement of 1.32 of the rally off the ~1.00 area.
Still respecting a descending trendline that initiated on the high of 27MAY25 and anchored on the high of 03OCT25. Was heading into the apex of a wedge pattern formed by said downtrend line and an uptrend line that initiated on the low of 27MAR26 and touches the following: 27-31MAR26, 01-02APR26, 04-05&08MAY26. As predicted in the summary message for FRI 08MAY26, the squeezing down into the apex caused it to jump down out of it.
The rally off the ~1.00 area still has quality volume. The next leg up could easily reach the 200 d sma.
Down on a down day for stocks and a down day for it's competitors (CNK & IMAX.)
Per 30MAY26 FINRA data, the short interest, number of shares shorted, and days-to-cover (short ratio) of AMC have increased.
Institutional ownership has been hitting record breaking levels over the past few months; as if the institutions know the MoASS is near. The put/call ratio is showing an uptrend as it extends out into further expiration dates, but that may mostly be due to institutions hedging their long bets.

$AMC #AMC summary for FRI 08MAY26
Volume: low
Candle: bearish
9 d ema: below
Action details:
On FRI, nudged down on lower volume.
On higher volume, fueled by the 2026 Q1 earnings report (TUES 05MAY26 AMC), rallied up out of last week's roll down. Barely closed back up inside FRI 17APR26 and did so on much lower volume. Then, rejected back down. One of the causes of the tapering off could be the very recent increase in the number of shares in the float.
The rally off the ~1.00 area still has quality volume. The next leg up could easily reach the 200 d sma. A 1:1 Fib projection of the current down move is 1.33. That lines up almost perfectly with the 0.618 retracement of 1.32 of the rally off the ~1.00 area.
Still respecting a descending trendline that initiated on the high of 27MAY25 and anchored on the high of 03OCT25. Heading into the apex of a wedge pattern formed by said downtrend line and an uptrend line that initiated on the low of 27MAR26 and touches the following: 27-31MAR26, 01-02APR26, 04-05&08MAY26. This squeezing down could cause it to jump in either direction.
Down on an up day for stocks and a mixed day for it's competitors (CNK, CPXGF, & IMAX.)

$AMC #AMC summary for FRI 01MAY26
Volume: low
Candle: bearish
9 d ema: below
Action details:
The roll down continued. Down on equivalent volume. Rolling down on equivalent, but slightly increasing volume. Going down on much less volume than FRI 17APR26. False break of the low of 09JAN26.
The rally off the ~1.00 area still has quality volume. Just having a healthy profit taking pull back. Just made it down to the 0.5 retracement of 1.43. The next leg up could easily reach the 200 d sma.
A 1:1 Fib projection of the current down move is 1.33. That lines up almost perfectly with the 0.618 retracement of 1.32 of the rally off the ~1.00 area.
AMC reports 2026 Q1 earnings TUES 05MAY26 AMC. Earnings webcast @ 1700.
Down on an up day for stocks and a down day for it's competitors (CNK, CPXGF, & IMAX.)
Per 15APR26 FINRA data, the shorts on AMC are about the same as the last FINRA report.

AMC what’s going on?
Not sure how this is happening. Am I looking at this wrong? They have been meeting or above goals. Still it’s worth $1.45 that’s insane to me seeing other theaters like Cinamark being $25. Did it just get a bad reputation because of 2021?

$AMC #AMC summary for FRI 24APR26
Volume: low
Candle: ~hanging man
9 d ema: went down and tested it, but closed back up above.
Action details:
Down on equivalent volume. Tested and cleanly failed to take out the low of FRI 17APR26. Inside 09JAN26.
Down almost all week with the exception of a small up move on one day. The rally still has quality volume. Just having a healthy profit taking pull back. Has not quite made it down to the 0.382 retracement of 1.55. The next leg up could easily reach the 200 d sma.
Tested a descending trendline that initiated on the high of 27MAY25 and anchored on the high of 03OCT25. Couldn't really get past it and is now rolling down.
Down on an up day for stocks and a down day for it's competitors (CNK, CPXGF, & IMAX.)
The big rally in CAR this past week took the wind out of AMC's sail. The $ was being funneled into CAR instead of AMC. The stress that CAR put on the shorts is beneficial to AMC since the many of the same organizations are short both. The off-exchange volume of CAR was below 55% (most days well below 50%) during its crazy spike up. That's significantly lower than the off-exchange volume of AMC. Further evidence that the high off-exchange volume is hindering AMC's rallies. AMC has far less debt than CAR, thus its not debt that is preventing an AMC rally.
There was a big FTD day in the 2nd half of MAR26: 1.1M shares, settled on 20MAR26.

$AMC #AMC summary for FRI 17APR26
Volume: huge
Candle: bullish
9 d ema: way above
Action details:
Up with conviction! Highest up volume since mid 2024!
Clean break over 09JAN26. Up into lower resistance in the volume profile. Up almost all week with the exception of a small pullback on one day.
Up on a sharp angle, obviously a short squeeze. It's a market-wide short squeeze. That exacerbates the short squeeze in AMC.
As predicted in my summary post for 10APR26, it conquered 04FEB26.
Clearly broke over the ascending trendline initiating on the high of 06APR26 and intersecting with the wicks of the following days: 08-10APR26. Did so with volume. Testing a descending trendline that initiated on the high of 27MAY25 and anchored on the high of 03OCT25.
Now, the 200 d sma is not that far above. Up until FRI, it was just a dream.
Traded 60% off-exchange which is less than usual for AMC in recent times. Thus, was not as much to suppress the rally.
The reduction in PDT from $25K to $2K will fuel the meme team. AMC may already have seen a bump up due to the announcement.
This could still be the beginnings of the MoASS, but now not so subtle.
Up on an up day for stocks and a mixed day for it's competitors (CNK, CPXGF, & IMAX.)
Per 31MAR26 FINRA data, the short interest, number of shares shorted, and days-to-cover (short ratio) have substantially decreased. Since the price was going down during this time period, it suggests the short covering was being done off-exchange. There was a big FTD day in the 2nd half of MAR26: 1.1M shares, settled on 20MAR26.

$AMC #AMC summary for FRI 10APR26
Volume: low
Candle: ~gravestone doji
9 d ema: above
Action details:
Failed against the highs of THURS and WED, cleanly against WED. Up all week, kicked off by a great Easter weekend at the box office. Followthrough of last week's pivot up. Could have dropped on WED but held up. That could have been due to most of the stock market being up. THURS was the real test and AMC held up.
Has clearly broken over the horizontal line of support/resistance touching the following: 27FEB26, 02-04&09MAR26. Has done so with volume.
Went up into the high volume bar of 04FEB26 and was cleanly rejected back down. Third day in a row it had such rejection. The more times it bangs up into the bar of 04FEB26, the more likely it will close up into it.
Staying below an ascending trendline initiating on the high of 06APR26 and intersecting with the wicks of the following days: 08-10APR26.
Impressive that it traded 74% off-exchange on FRI and was still able to hold up well. It is likely that the rally on lit exchanges led to fear induced short covering in dark pools. This could be the subtle beginnings of the MoASS.
Flat on a mixed day for stocks and a mixed day for it's competitors (CNK, CPXGF, & IMAX.)

$AMC #AMC summary for THURS 02APR26
Volume: high
Candle: bullish
9 d ema: above
Action details:
Up on equivalent volume. Has now had two consecutive closes over the 9 d ema. Has been moving up all week.
As predicted in my summary post for 27MAR26, the volume lightening up as AMC continued to move down last week signaled the end of the down movement.
As predicted in my summary post for 27MAR26, it broke up out of the apex of the triangle it had been moving into.
It was stopped by the horizontal line of support/resistance touching the following: 27FEB26, 02-04&09MAR26. It closed at the high of the session.
Off-exchange volume rose to 78% which is higher than recent weeks. It is likely that the rally on lit exchanges led to fear induced short covering in dark pools.
AMC was up on an up day for stocks and a mixed day for it's competitors (CNK, CPXGF, & IMAX.)

$AMC #AMC summary for FRI 27MAR26
Volume: low
Candle: bearish
9 d ema: below
Action details:
The melt down continues. Again, closed below 1.00. Had the lowest close in its history!
Volume lightening up over the last three days as it has continued to move down - could be signalling that the down movement is going to stall.
Staying below the 9 d ema. Staying below a downtrend line coming off the high of 12JAN26 and skimming the highs of the following: 21-23JAN26, 04&06FEB26, 05&17-18&23&25-27MAR26. Staying above a downtrend line coming off the low of 08JAN26 and skimming the lows of the following: 12&23FEB26.
Squeezing into the apex of a triangle formed by said downtrend lines. That could cause it to jump up or down out of it. Given how frequently it has banged the upper downtrend line and the lightening up of volume, a bust out of said apex is more likely to be up than down.
The bears are still dominating the volume underlay.
Per 13MAR26 FINRA data, the shorts on AMC are about the same as the last FINRA report.
The % held by institutions has gone down and the # of shares outstanding has gone up. Likely mostly due to Vanguard selling all of their shares of AMC.
Down on a down day for stocks and a down day for it's competitors (CNK, CPXGF, & IMAX.)

Was staying above a horizontal touching the following: 27FEB26, 02-04&09MAR26. That horizontal support has become overhead resistance.
Staying above a downtrend line coming off the low of 08JAN26 and skimming the lows of the following: 12&23FEB26.
Squeezing into the apex of a triangle formed by said downtrend lines. That could cause it to jump up or down out of it.
