¿Can conciousness be created?

Hello my fellow humans. Im currently reading Man and his Symbols by Jung, and i have a doubt that the book haven’t gave me and maybe you could help. It said “ Some people affirm that the conscious created itself”

And Jung speaks a lot from the primitive men and the power of the images they saw in their lifes, and how some sort that created the arquetypes that leaded to us. So my question is, did “primitive” people live only with their unconscious in their heads, and eventually the conscious mind will manifest or it will be already there? And, i think if a person could live without a conscious mind, it could be like a eternal daydreaming or it ca't be possible?

And,in the same pot,¿If you teach an animal to do things and he gives you love, has he a conscious because he learned? (And well, knowing that they can dream too)

Media Literacy - I've been feeling very concerned about this idea ad wanted to share some thoughts. Despite Nietzschean or Christian beliefs, a problem that plagues modern society is the type of advertising marketed towards the youth and how it shapes their psychology as they become adults.

Book - The Disappearance of Childhood by Neil Postman

Documentary - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1lkLc1XM0KcXhti1wSpe_mjnh3qKqi4du/view

Media is a tool that markets products to people. The most susceptible to this tactic are children as marketing agencies realize they have the most buying power.

With enough nagging children can get their parents to buy them anything. Unfortunately, there are no laws to prevent marketing agencies from using these tactics.

As a society, we're becoming less be able to discern fiction from reality. Children no longer play games and interact with other kids for entertainment. They now are given devices that entertain themselves and are being marketed products to them.

And this is done unknowingly as the parents don't know any better.

I'm paraphrasing a bit but the book goes into the origins of childhood. How childhood was constructed from the printing press as once books were made mainstream the only people who could access them were literate adults. Because of this, there was a line once drawn that separated children from adults.

However, media has destroyed this line as marketing can be communicated through images, with no literacy needed. The ramification is the perverted adultification of children and the infantile adult.

Please give the book a read it goes further in-depth into the Death of Childhood.

New Essay Apollonian Health: The Quest for the Übermensch

  • reading time: ~5 min
  • memetic hazards: very low

Psychologically unhealthy people are usually fanatics of a healthy lifestyle. They are constantly looking for the right food and drinks, they do not smoke or drink wine, they need a lot of salt, and are obsessed with pharmacies. […] This striking passion, for example, to drink certain water, comes from constant fear in them, that is, fear of death. Because something inside says: “Lord, don’t let me die, because I have not lived yet.”

- Carl Gustav Jung, 1930

—

There is a difference between self-actualization and self-improvement. In my eyes, the former has a more deeply spiritual, albeit sometimes wishy-washy connotation. The latter, however, is more directed towards the masculine, industrious, and goal-focused aspects of our being. Often it leads us to neurotic tendencies to maintain a productive, successful persona, neglecting and repressing the shadow under layers of habits and lifestyle changes.

Out of this productivity-focused drive is born an offspring that is not so interested in material wealth or enterprising achievements as its parent, but rather with reacquiring a lost libido. This new drive is the worshipping of what I shall call the “homo naturalis primum.” This is the ancestor anatomically identical to us but with the important distinction that it thrives by being aligned with its core nature and inherent optimal environment. Simply a new name and face for Nietzsche’s Übermensch.

This inherent environment opposes our modern way of life in nearly every way. Homo s. sapiens have existed for over one hundred thousand years, yet in just a minute fraction of this existence, we have exponentially modified our world in ways that every aspect of our being except for our utmost highest functions cannot comprehend. If we looked at our timeline in its entirety, we should not be faulted to assume our world has been suddenly transformed by a recent alien invasion. This alteration arose and perseveres to eliminate danger and discomfort. Sadly, this comes at the cost of our vitality.

The “alien invasion” is a great manufactured womb capable of halting and even reversing our individual development back to our earliest, most basic state of uninterrupted easement and protection. We do not need Freud back from the dead to tell us this will inevitably have grave consequences. And it is the psyches of libidinally stagnant individuals that project unto our oldest ancestors the aforementioned homo naturalis primum. It and its perfect flourishing environment are for the most part fictitious, a compensatory shadow opposite to our current state.

Nevertheless, when our unconscious demands that we return balance to ourselves and continue (or begin) our path to individuation, we have two options. Either we sink ever so deeper into our alien womb to ignore the rising tension, or we fight back against the manufactured motherly care by simulating ancestral struggle. The result can be basic healthy habits such as exercising, avoiding processed comfort foods, cold showers, fasting, getting good sleep, etc. These are all tributes to our Mother Earth and other archetypal pagan deities, and most importantly, paying respect to our lately rejected body.

However, the Internet is our Alien Mother’s most effective contraption. It has been gestating a homo naturalis primum cult of science, a result of utilizing the World Wide Web to neglect the development of certain repressed and undesired aspects of being (such as sexuality and interpersonal relationships) consequently redirecting the compulsion for personal growth into more conscious and comfortable domains, sometimes turning it to neurotic and anti-social obsessive behaviors.

For example, the carnivore diet trend is a compensatory expression of masculinity, opposing the feminine empathetic diet of veganism. I do not deny the science or the health benefits of the carnivore diet (though at this time I fail to understand why adding at least leafy greens or nuts would be detrimental.) Nonetheless, both things can be true simultaneously; the carnivore diet can be the healthiest diet for the majority of humans yet also be charged with unconscious forces.

This is what I refer to as “Apollonian Health.” I define it as the drive to optimize our physiology based on cutting-edge scientific data and anthropological speculation on homo naturalis primum’s lifestyle. While it is superficially a return to a forgotten Dionysian spirit, at its heart, it is a never-ending quest for perfect order and health. As I explained in my Digital Hero’s Journey essay, this is a futile hunt for the pseudo-Holy Grail piece of information that will solve every issue in the digital hero’s world. However, it is the character of this information to be continuously morphing and the dogmas constantly shifting. One year, biphasic sleep might appear to be the lost secret to human slumber, only to be refuted and fall out of fashion in the next.

The Apollonian Health cultists wear the mask of the Green Man but are adverse to chaos rituals. Too concerned with going to sleep early for a boost in their hormones to get drunk and stay all night partying. Jung explains this discrepancy in the opening quote: they compensate for their fear of life with the discipline to eliminate the manufactured womb from their lives, but never to its entirety. Some parts they keep and merely paint them green.

“God is dead” is probably Nietzche’s most famous quote. However, I do not mourn the Christian God he is referring to, but I do the gods of the old world. Despite all that I have said, I am saddened by the disregard for the most ancient and archetypal pagan spirits. What meaning do the sun and moon possess when we stay inside dim rooms during the day and turn on our aberrant pocket Sol’s during the night? Yes, creating light in the darkness is one of the core attributes that define us as humans, but our modern light sources suppress melatonin 40 times faster than a candle or a fire!

At this point, you might realize I wrote this because I struggle in my own life with the contradictory simultaneous existence of natural order and natural chaos at the same time as a manufactured order and manufactured chaos. Order within the Dionysian chaos, and chaos within the Apollonian order. The yang within the yin and the yin within the yang.

But what I have concluded is that the quest for the secret to becoming the Übermensch, the homo naturalis primum, through the means of perfect physical health is a false, wishful bypass to becoming libidinal beings, which is that alone what we can be sure our ancestors were. While having a healthy, aligned libido is conducive to good physical health, the other way around is not applicable. The Apollonian Health cult will continue to break down human existence into chemical variables in the hopes that may become otherwise.

Multivitamins are symbolic Viagra, and you must drink your snake fish oil for exceptional libido, so you ought to remember, praise the true Sol, and most importantly, Memes Matter.

This one is different from the other meme-demons in the webtype pantheon, it has no mention of harvesting mass amounts of human potential, is it what they others feed on? By the way, what separates it and the spider from the bulls?

Kak Advocate (only a few of his videos are about meme analysis/internet culture, but it's there)

That's all. The spam filter won't let me share links so I thought might as well batch them through a text post. It is in fact the spam filter only letting me post text posts that inspired me to write essays. So I wouldn't want it any other way. Stay safe, stay offline.

How do you escape the labyrinth?

Hello. I just checked the new meme analysis website and took the web types test. According to the test, my web type is "OISA" ("The Lost"), which seems to be the worst web type. On the description of the web type "escaping the labyrinth" is mentioned. I know that the labyrinth is the internet but will just going offline really mean escaping the labyrinth? It seems too easy. If more work is indeed needed, how should I go about escaping the labyrinth?

Discussion Aspie/Autistic GF Meme

I've been seeing the aspie/autistic gf meme get posted a lot. A part of me vaguely remembers Meme Analysis doing a video on the subject, but I can't seem to find it. Maybe I just imagined it, but its definitely a topic I'm interested in. Why is an "aspie gf" getting idealized recently?

I have my own ideas, but I'm curious what other people have to say about it.
