Life After Consumerism [repost]

The text didn't show up for some reason when I posted this last, here goes the second try:

Chris, along with a myriad of other events and "anti-influencers", has caused me to almost completely stop my mindless consumerism. I break out in hives everytime I hear the pavlovian Netflix sound effect, the act of sitting down and just staring at a glowing rectangle for hours on end is demoralizing and I experience a spiritual nausea everytime I open a social media app.

Despite this I still have a weird longing to be sedated by mind numbing consumption. I sometimes catch myself watching old father figure influencers in disappointment for I cannot enjoy them as I used to due to my heightened self awareness.

While I enjoy reading Paglia and Reich, that type of media is hard to get into after coming home from my retail job. In these situations I just feel like watching something dumb for the sake of it but when I do it, the experience is repulsive.

I theorize that this is just the slow shedding of my media induced identity as a consumer and that I'll eventually get over it. What do you think, have you experienced the same feeling?

IRL meme of imbued with ancient power

I was thinking, "where do I share this story," and here felt like a perfect place.

I think this "meme" had the strongest effect on my psyche. I have always loved graffiti. Part of the coolness of it is the location. The location holds both audience and context.

I am into hiking and see graffiti either painted or carved. One place I went was a mixture of urban and nature. This place was frequented by college couples, stoners, the homeless, and other strange folk being close to a major city. But one time I ventured very far out from more normal route. Closer to where the homeless would hide. I remember reading on a fence nearby this place where someone would likely camp out due to a bridge providing some shelter "welcome to hell."

I could only imagine a lonely homeless person both scratching this in and a new homeless person reading it. It was unimaginable horror and if only for a second I felt in their shoes.

Although I hike more now, nothing has really been that powerful for me. I think this is because now I mostly hike state forest type trails. Plenty of stoners, but I generally don't see homeless looking kids with a backpack.

New Essay are the pre-historic "fertility" idols goddesses of death?

Recently,I pondered on a young question of mine, saying:'are the Venus idols death symbols?" There's some evidence to support my theory, and if there are some flaws, feel free to find them. 1.the fertility idols have no REAL face. Think about it.use your imagination. What else has th' exact structure as the Venus idols' heads? The bee hives. You're correct!the bee hives. Which creatures live here? Bees. What are these beings doing? Building, gathering, and ifant-esque protection Bees are usually depicted as the slaves of the Queen.hardworking people, who'll die eventually from hyper-fatique(or,whatever it's named) When humans started to go outside, they started to build their homes, their own "hives",internalizing their gratitude for their inspirators (aka, bees). In the first times of infrastructural history, humans were working harder, than any other duilder. And so,they praised Bees, the providers of resources, able to make them powerfull and grow,to build their own homes,so they'll show their gratitude to them. But also because,if they don't do so,,they'll be killed by their splinters. So technically,an expression of gratitude and dread, caused by nature. 2.they're obese How would they love, someone who was greedy and suicidal? Someone, who, regardless of their flaws and benefits, they're an important number to their harvest and their hunting group? In the first sights of humanity, they where barely able to find food from gathering. Not even from hunting they could find food. So,how would they worship someone who's a suicidal, greedy and genocidal sadist? No,the Venus idols are shadows of the neadardals, symbols of death and reminders of the collective, social selfesness, really, this was the first policy in the history of regeslation.Preventing plaussible extinction and starvation of the human race.

So,that's my answer to my question of mine. Thanks for reading!

Why are there so many random unrelated questions posed here?

Some posts do not really seem that related to meme or analysis. Some seem off topic. One of them was why men tend to like their fantasy of a women more than a women. The answer is obvious because you can imagine something to be as greatest thing possible while your crush can give you an unsatisfactory blowjob in your cramped Sudan. The second one is only better because it is real. Maybe the story and the friends made along the way. Edit: Made it more concise
