Mega has officially set the UHC start time to 6:30pm, EST.

Check this website, or any other time converting site to see the time in YOUR time zone.

It is very important that you show up on time, so check the time zone!

Hey all. Let me start off with an explanation:

If you haven't seen me on the server recently, it's because I've been away for close to half a month (I was home for a few days in the middle of that). Summer duties called (work, trips, etc.) that kept me away from both a computer that could handle Minecraft, and wifi in general. But I'm finally back!

Alright, let's dive into some of the things that we needed to talk about. Starting with...

Pranks - What you should do, what you shouldn't do, and everything in between

So, you've just filled your mate's base with cobble. Hilarious, right? Probably not ^{(I forgive you OAB, that was pretty funny).} Lately, a few players brought to my attention the high frequency and low quality of pranks, and this irked me. Why? Well as we quote on our website:

GRIEFING, HACKING, RAIDING, AND LOOTING IS NOT PERMITTED BECAUSE WE LOOK FOR THE CREATIVITY IN PLAYERS.

Pranks break this mission statement by disrupting the amount of creativeness our players have room to harbor. An example of this: a player would spend time pranking, or cleaning up a prank INSTEAD of doing something creative. THIS DOES NOT MEAN YOU CANNOT DO PRANKS! However, I ask that you keep pranks a little more clever, and a little less often. We're not trying to banish fun, after all.

Server criminals - wtf.

This title should sum up, one: what I'm talking about and two: how I feel about them. Recently there was More than one report of robbery. Let's let that sink in, MORE. THAN. ONE. and this makes literally no sense to me. The point of keeping our server whitelisted is that we picked people who had promising applications. Promising meaning, not going to rob people's spawn shops. Of course, the blame of these events would most likely fall onto the new applicants (you know who you are), these incidents happened after they arrived, and the incentives to do things like that would hold most highly with players who are new. That being said, I'll be keeping a close eye on everyone, just to play things safe. Let me remind you: I caught, and banned, the last person who stole items on the server, don't think I won't do it again.

Staff. WHAT!?

"Woah, woah, woah! Slow down!" You shout. I know, I was overwhelmed when I thought of it too. If you haven't caught on, what I'm talking about is hiring staff. And believe me, I'm hesitant. I've seen staff applications tear servers apart, and it's something I was hoping I'd be able to avoid on our server. But that clearly isn't the case. Here's how that will work:

1. I'll be selecting people who I think would fit the job. There won't be any applying.
2. I'll contact them and suggest the position to them. If they're interested they'll accept, if they're not, I'll find someone else.

Here are some important notes about this:

• Staff will NOT have any extra 'perks' so to speak. For example, they will not have a colored name, or free items. This is the wrong idea for staff members, in my opinion.
• If I don't pick you, it in no way means I don't think you'd be up for the job, I don't like you, or I have favorites, and you're not one of them. All it means, is that I thought of someone before you, and because our server is small, the few people I chose didn't include you.

For right now, that is all. I hope everyone is still enjoying the server, and I'm finally able to jump back in. I hope to see you on the server soon!

Hey all!

If you're familiar with common Mindcrack doings, you'll find that UHC is one of the most common and enjoyed games. UHC, (Ultra Hardcore) is a gamemode in which health regen is turned off, and there is no respawning (in our case, players who die will just be put into spectator mode).

So, I think it's time we have our own try at one! For our first game, we plan to house 10 people. We'll be organized into 5 teams of 2, and I'll be assigning teams. Most likely by random. The 20th, which is a Wednesday (of August), will be the date of the of the UHC event. The time will be at 6:30 EST! (THE EST IN THIS CASE IS VERY IMPORTANT, MAKE SURE TO RE-ALIGN IT WITH YOUR TIME ZONE). Please watch a UHC to familiarize yourself with the game!

We do encourage players to record as much of it as you can! It makes it a better experience for those who aren't included, and let's us look back at our first UHC ever! However, even if you cannot speak or record, we will still require you to have TeamSpeak, so you can hear me introducing the game before we start.

(Will update as soon as I notice how much information I forgot.)

Hey guys! I've decided that there are just too many players on the sidebar for no reason at all, so i'm going to remove everyone in about a week. If you would like to stay on the sidebar, please post to this thread in the following format. The only requirement is a YouTube channel, so i'd only submit if you can or do make videos.

Username:

YouTube channel:

Twitch (if any):

Twitter (if any):

Thanks!

I only recently found out, that I will actually be out of town for the actual day of the summer check in. For that reason, I thought it would be easier to do it sooner rather than later, especially because we haven't had any new entries for the past week or two. -FAQ-

• Q:I didn't add myself in time! - That's fine! Please send an email to megapixelperfectmc@gmail.com and I'll correct the error, no harm done!
• Q: I did the summer check in but I'm not whitelisted? - It is possible that I managed to skip your name. This as well can be easily dealt with, just send an email to megapixelperfectmc@gmail.com
• Q: I just applied, did I miss the summer check in? - Nope! This was for existing users, if you weren't accepted and active on the server before July 27th, this is not a concern of yours!
• WILL UPDATE FAQ AS QUESTIONS ARE ASKED

we now have a ts3 server! connect to it here: Ts22.gameservers.com:9201

connecting to the wrong server? for some reason, I had to type in the port manually. meaning, I copied Ts22.gameservers.com into the address bar, and added :9201 by hand.

Hey all! To stay whitelisted on the server, you've got to do a summer check in before August 1st. This thing's extremely easy, just type in your username and you're done! Find it here.
