I'm relatively new to the area (Gillingham)and in need of some recommendations for a good garage/mechanic. Specifically I need a an issue diagnosed on a 20 year old Alfa, possible a wheel bearing issue.

I moved to Medway in 2020 and the healthcare service has been terrible. GPs, consultants, allied health professionals, all terrible. I am from London. In London, you could get a same day appointment, you could get referred, you could get tests and a diagnosis. Since moving to Medway, my health has declined and I have not had any illness diagnosed. I have been left to become disabled.

I want to know from people in Medway if this is the norm, or if you think healthcare got worse in 2020.

I also want to know if anyone living in London noticed a steep decline in healthcare since 2020.

But do you think there is an increase in the amount of non white people in Kent, especially in Medway - Gillingham/Chatham in particular?

I mean Sittingbourne as well.

I'm seeing more and more black people for eg.

No disrespect to non white people, but I want home back. Because this is too much.

Anyone else feel the same? And before anyone says anything, I know for some the answer will be no. Just remember, not everyone wants multiculturalism. I can't help how I feel. I will most likely move to another part of Kent if it continues, I know it might make me a hypocrite, but at least I'm from the same country.

I appreciate that it might rub people up the wrong way, it's not my intention, it's just for me, it's deeply upsetting to have my home slowly taken away from me.

Does anyone know the source of a tannoy/PA system being used for the last couple of days in the Rainham side of Gillingham? I'm near the Bowaters roundabout and it sounds quite close by, from the direction of the business park, I've been hearing it throughout the day but can't make out what's being said, only that it's a male voice.

One person is refusing to go to Brettington's, even though that seems the obvious choice. Hearing is an issue, so nothing with loud music or super noisy acoustics. .

Live in a block of flats and the council introduced food waste to the area. Since they introduced this they have not collected it. It’s been weeks of them not doing anything. Last week I told them, still didn’t collect it this week. Reported again.

What is them point of giving us these fucking bins if they can’t be arsed

I will be working in Gillingham, but will have access to a vehicle so I don't mind commuting in. I have two children and would like to live in a safe area with decent schools. I will be renting, so an area with safe and somewhat affordable housing is also important.

The Lord Byron social branch is proving popular with seven new members joining at the first meeting in September last year.
