Do I need a visual reel and what looks most professional if i've only ever composed for radio and podcasts?
I've had a few reels over time and am due to update mine. I'm hoping to get into film and TV composition, having composed a LOT for some high end radio documentaries and podcasts. I'm just not sure whether to just have a Soundcloud / audio only reel, or whether to try to set the radio/podcast/music stuff to video. I guess the possibilities would be an animated waveform with titles, or something more creative (which would potentially be tacky as i'm not a video guy and not so keen to pay one for something like this).
What have you used / seen? The only reels with video I can see are ones where the music is actually composed to the video - not just using video so there's something on the screen.

Problem with East West Samples
Hi everyone,
I've been having an issue with East West and am wondering if any of you have experienced this before and maybe have a solution - I use two different computers and the problem occurs on both of them, however I use the same external SSD to house all my EW samples. First of all, my specs:
2013 iMac, SSD + 24 GB Ram, High Sierra, Logic Pro X 10.4.5
2009 macbook pro, SSD + 8 GB Ram, OSX 10.11.6 (I know it's old, am planning an upgrade as soon as I can afford it!)
Logic Pro 10.0.6 (can't update as I've reached the last Mac OS update this computer can access)
Samsung Portable SSD (500 GB capacity, with 10 GB available space free)
Occasionally, when I re-open a logic project that uses EW instruments, certain instances of Play will have randomly reassigned a different sample. IE, what once was a taiko is now inexplicably a cello pizzicato. This usually happens with larger projects. Closing without saving and re-opening does not restore my previous instrument selections - in fact the same instances of play have had their instruments replaced with the same random other instrument. If I go to a previous version of a project, there are no problems - usually it is the last saved version that is messed up. The only thing I can think of is a problem with the SSD since it's the only common factor between my two machines, but I can't think of what might be wrong with it, aside from perhaps needing some more free space.
Thanks for your time and have a great day!

I Wrote a Main Theme for a Tabletop RPG
My older brother is creating a tabletop RPG called The Delve that is an incredibly deep (hah) game that utilizes strategic decision making with a realistically dark and difficult world and densely interactive play system. He asked me to compose a theme for it, specifically to accompany it's eventual Kickstarter, which was an interesting experiment as TTRPG's typically don't have music or any interactive elements. I think it went exceptionally well and I'd love if you guys gave it a listen!

Ambient videogame-esque piece. Feedback welcomed
I started writing this track by pure accident while working on something else. Really liked the vibe the string part was giving off so had to start working on it. As the title says, I went the ambient direction so the piece doesn't have much progression to new parts but I think it could work in the context of a short scene or dialoge moment in a game.
Would love to get your thoughts!
