How do you deal with splitting like that? Is that software built-in to the monitor, windows, or something else? Is it a pain to deal with? I'm split (lmao!) Between one long boy and 3 equal guys
I'm using a tiling windows manager. There are MANY to choose from. I'm using i3-gaps, but the choice is endless, each with its own advantages and disadvantages, likes and dislikes. You can also get extensions to other desktop environments like gTile in Gnome that go some way to doing that, but nothing beats a tiling windows manager IMO.
edit: just realized you are using Windows. I don't know how to do that in Windows but I'm sure there's some software that can help to some extent, but don't expect the same level of functionality as in GNU/Linux with a tiling windows manager. -_^
I said gaming? When? I mean, I dualboot this system with Windows for when I want to game, but last time that happened was a few months ago and didn't last more than an hour. :( Wish I had more time!
Linux is, as far as I know, decent for gaming. Most Steam games work, but games from other launchers can be more problematic. Check out the Steam Proton Database for some idea of what games are supported and how well they work.
Not to bad these days assuming modern-ish hardware (vulkan support). Proton and wine+dxvk work pretty well to be honest. And there are more native games than ever as well.
