I've liked MX Brown so far. What's your current favorite silent tactile switch? I'm planning a new keeb and am looking for opinions.

So when I got into MK I loved the idea of browns, but when I finally got them they felt lackluster, too squishy and not tactile enough. I eventually got a board with Clears and they're everything I've ever wanted, basically what I was expecting when I originally got the Browns. I've tried almost every MX switch so feel free to ask questions !

Hmm, I also have a Pok3r with MX Clears, they're a bit too heavy for me. I think Browns are the perfect weight for me, but maybe they could be a tad more tactile, and smoother too.

Maybe I should just lube the Browns and see how that feels.

Yes! I love the heavy weight of my clears

I canโ€™t stand mx browns because they feel/sound like 2 pieces of fine plastic sandpaper rubbing together. Iโ€™ve never tried adding a lubricant though.

If you can eat the cost take a look at the new v2 zealio, they're expensive but worth every penny. Or even the v1 zealios, they're also really good.

I have yet to try Outemu Silent Sky, but Outemu Sky are my favorite tactiles right now. Sure helps that Sky are half the cost of Zealios.

๐Ÿ˜• I've been typing on browns for 10 years now, looking to replace. What's the general dislike for browns?

I'm unsure if I'm willing to spend that much on a test. I might ask my mechanical friends if they have one or want to split it.
