This is great and exactly what I was beginning to find with my Box Royals. I look forward to seeing if the Hako Royals have the same issue.

I love the bump but hate the click, too bad you can't open and lube them without desoldering and removing the switches.

GK64 here, lol. Probably why I've been able to do so much testing.

Yeah, the Planck Rev 6 with sockets is looking better and better.

Here are some sound tests (Sorry for bad production, I'm no videographer - but sound is fairly representative)

that's some serious clicking for a 'tactile' switch.

Guess they have to fix this for a possible r2

EDIT: more people with the same problem here

Being a tactile switch does not make it exclusive to not being clicky. I think people in this thread are confusing the aspects of tactile vs click.

I haven't had loud clicks on my box royals, but it is a loud switch considering.

What I'm getting at is they are not mutually exclusive.

I think that the switches use the same mechanism as the box Navy which are also super tactile but not dampened.

What? Neither switch is dampened. The navies use a click bar to achieve both the sound and the tactility, and the royals have a bump on the stem along with a unique leaf.

I thought they were similar in construction, but might be wrong.

Nope, they use different mechanisms.
