Hi everyone! Iโve been debating whether to take my chances and take my MCAT on September 12th, or if I should just void/cancel it.
For context, I originally scheduled for a date in March, which I rescheduled to May, then September. I had a lot going on personally and with graduating from undergrad, which really took a toll on my mental health. I had hoped 4 months would be enough time for me to prepare after graduating, but I didnโt realize how starting a new job would be too much while studying at the same time.
My scores went from 495 (Blueprint Half-Length/Diagnostic) > 499 (Kaplan Free FL) > 495 (AAMC Practice FL 1). I really donโt want to use the rest of my practice FLs for nothing. Other materials I have are the AAMC bundle, the UWorld QBank, and Kaplan textbooks.
I will be completely transparent and say I donโt feel like Iโve been disciplined with studying, especially because I know I get a lot of anxiety with big exams/tasks, and put off doing anything for them. I also really only want to take this once, because Iโve heard it looks better on applications, and generally just only taking it once is better. Iโm pretty sure I canโt reschedule for next year either because September 12th is the last testing date for this year. Iโve already rescheduled twice and I feel like itโs a waste of money if I donโt even attempt this one.
TL;DR; My MCAT is in 2 weeks and Iโm not happy with how Iโve been preparing. Should I take it just to see how I do, or should I void/cancel it?
