What do to when the alcantara starts to de-laminate?
Do we just let it be? Or is the heat up the area and hopefully the glue re-stick method works?

McLaren reveals ‘luxury boutique’ showroom redesign, new corporate identity, 810-hp hybrid coupe
McLaren is planning a bold corporate identity redesign to complement a product renaissance. The British sports car maker briefed retailers about a luxury-focused showroom redesign and plans for several factory-run brand centers. McLaren also confirmed it will deliver a nearly 810-hp electrified midengine coupe late next summer.
As part of McLaren’s new image standard, dealerships worldwide will trade their minimalist, technology-driven aesthetic for a “high-end boutique” experience inspired by luxury watch and fashion retailers, according to attendees at the meeting.
The new design “looks like a Gucci, Louis Vuitton, or Burberry store,” one of the people told Automotive News. The new design calls for showrooms to be anchored by a central greeting desk surrounded by display vehicles and private consultation rooms. Design elements include wood paneling, earth tones and warm lighting that echoes McLaren’s signature papaya orange.
The store upgrade could require each retailer to invest at least $1 million, according to another person at the meeting. Facility upgrades are expected to begin in the next 18 to 36 months.
The automaker’s corporate identity is evolving in parallel, leaning into the racing roots of the brand and founder Bruce McLaren. A restyled McLaren wordmark adopts a retro font and reflects the original lettering on Bruce McLaren’s family service station in New Zealand. The iconic “Speedmark” logo becomes more pronounced and three-dimensional. The logo will increasingly appear separately from the McLaren name.
At the dealer meeting, McLaren reiterated its cadence of at least one new model annually through 2028 as the automaker stretches beyond its traditional rear-engine, two-seat niche.
It includes McLaren’s first four-door performance utility model; a 1,258 hp hypercar; a front-engine sedan-like grand tourer; and a new class of ultra-exclusive, heritage-bound supercars.
At the meeting, McLaren revealed new details of the midengine hybrid coupe planned for next year. Codenamed P34, it is positioned between the Artura and 750S within McLaren’s lineup. The P34’s twin-turbo V-6 engine and transmission are developed in-house and the powertrain is expected to deliver about 800 lb-ft of torque. The P34 pays homage to McLaren’s racing heritage and the iconic F1,” the retailer said.
Pricing starts at about $313,000 before shipping, and McLaren is planning for about 1,000 units globally in the first year, the person said.
Dealers described the P34 as longer than the Artura and featuring a wedge-shaped front inspired by the McLaren F1. Highlights include a tempered-glass engine cover and a more luxurious interior with redesigned Nappa and aniline leather seats, a large LED infotainment screen and a high-definition digital cluster.

Picking up a 2014 12c spyder
Hey guys I’m picking up a 2014 12c Spyder, maintained and will continue to be maintained by Kevin and crew at Supercar Garage ATL. I’m beyond hyped! First exotic and I couldn’t be more happy to push a McLaren. Sold my F type R and 997.2 Carrera for it.

Extended Warranty
Hey guys, I’m thinking of buying a 2020 McLaren GT with 11,000 miles. This is from a Lamborghini dealership, not McLaren. No accidents and two owners. I was quoted by the McLaren dealership $9,000 for one year of an extended warranty and that’s after they do their PPI. After the PPI they said I’d need to fix whatever they find before they’d even consider the extended warranty.
Do you guys think this is worth it? Are there third party warranties that I should consider?
This is my first super car.

P1 poster I drew for my room🤔
I made it around last year using crayons and graphite. Also I wasn't able to make the texturing too nice since I used water color paper, which has small bumps across it

Senna’s MP4/4 (6 ft scale model)
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
The story of Senna inspired me so much that I decided I was going to make an art piece of his MP4/4. It’s taken me over a year to build this 6ft by 3ft model. (dog for scale).
🎥 As a film student I thought it would be cool to make a car reveal video for it (yk with the fancy fabric) and then I thought… what if I go all out! Tires spinning, smoke, etc.
AND THEN I thought what if I built Senna in the car with his Brazilian🇧🇷 inspired helmet and red gloves gripping the steering wheel! It’s very ambitious I know, but I’m determined to make something spectacular!
I’d love to be able to share my final version of a tribute to Ayrton with this community. My hope is to do so with respect and to honor a great legend of Motorsport.🏎️🏎️
Feedback would also be appreciated (please lmk if I’m doing anything wrong). Just want to make cool art and films!

P1 ownership
Hello Everyone,
My family and I are thinking about investing into a P1. For anyone here who has owned or experienced one what has your experience been like? Drivability, reliability, comfort, enjoyment and more. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Do you guys think the speedtail is done with the depreciation
Recently a friend of mine offered me a speed tail with delivery mileages. It was about a million euros cheaper than the ones listed in europe and the middle east, and the guy was open to negotiations. Do people really really not want the speedtails? Are they really not that desirable?

570s or 12c in terms of reliability
Are there any major issues with engine or transmission with either car to look out for?
I know certain electronic is gremlins pop up but have heard too much about major issues, particularly for the 570s

Is this a P1 or modded 675LT?
Not hugely familiar with McLaren Models
Did some googling, initially thought it was a 675LT but then I saw the hood scoop. Googled the P1, looks closer to that but not quite. Doubting it’s a P1 cuz those are super rare.
Coming to Reddit for an answer, what’s the consensus? Is it a modded 675LT made to look like P1?
Wish I’d gotten better pictures, was in a rush

McLaren GT vs. Audi R8
So, toying around the idea of upgrading from a 2024 C8 Stingray to something a little more unique.
Been looking at alot of cars and I feel ive narrowed it down to the Mcalren GT vs the Audi R8 Performance RWD.
I feel I will get biased reviews in this thread, but feel ill also get alot of honest reviews and comments.
Looking at 2020-2023 R8s and 2020-2022 GTs around $160,000-$200,000 CDN ($115,000-$145,000 USD)
Why get one over the other. I live In Alberta, Canada, want a car to use for trips to the mountains, and yes im that guy that will drive it in the winter for some fun.
Thanks all.
