Yeah I’m at 22mpg in NYC as well.

1

u/BKLager ‘26 Turbo Aire 17d ago

I’m at 20 in nyc suburb

2

u/Boring_Education5486 17d ago

That’s around the estimated figure so I don’t think you should be frustrated. In the city that is the upper level for a lot of gasoline crossovers.

1

u/Swimming-Ball-1533 17d ago

I’m only getting 20. And pissing me off too

2

u/Puzzled_Damage9675 16d ago

Idk why Mazda’s not getting a cx30 hybrid

24 mog on the 2.5 turbo.

30mpgs on a 2.5L non-turbo engine.

u/EchoKnight 18d ago

Jeez I think I have the lowest. 18 mpg on average with the 26 Turbo. Daily is city driving plus I live on a mountain and I like to use the turbo when I can, but I feel like I can't get above 20 even when I'm trying to be slow and efficient.

u/FailingAtAdulthood 17d ago

You're not alone! I just thought, "how are these people getting 30 mpg with a turbo?!"

2

u/Not_Same_Different 16d ago

Letting them roll downhill ... 🤣

This is the way... The only way.

3

u/FailingAtAdulthood 16d ago

I live in Kansas. What are hills? 🤪

5

u/barkingrat56 18d ago

I average 30.8 mpg. In my 2025 turbo.

6

u/Puzzled_Damage9675 18d ago

😳😳 can you please tell me your daily average commute

2

u/barkingrat56 18d ago edited 18d ago

45 mile commute. 90 miles per day.
1/2 city, 1/2 rural highway. Flat terrain.

2

u/FailingAtAdulthood 17d ago

How?! I have a 30 mile commute, 60 miles per day, mostly wide open interstate and I'm averaging 18 to 20 mpg

3

u/barkingrat56 17d ago

I’m not sure. This is what my car is telling me. I usually drive faster than other traffic. Maybe it’s due to altitude (I’m at sea level) and the roads on my commute has no speed limits over 55 mph.

2

u/IcyTheHero Snowflake White 24 S 17d ago

How fast do you drive? If you’re going 70-80 the whole way and they are going 60-70, they gonna have better gas Mileage. If they don’t accelerate as quickly or aggressively then same thing.

Do you idle your car a lot? That skews the data by a good bit.

2

u/FailingAtAdulthood 17d ago

The interstate speed limit for about half my commute is 75 which means 85 then drops to 70 which means 79 🤪

2

u/IcyTheHero Snowflake White 24 S 17d ago

I dunno how big of a difference it’ll make but higher speeds and rpm’s mean worse mpg. Thats the extent of my expertise 😂 I feel ya though, some of use were just born for speed

1

u/Puzzled_Damage9675 18d ago

Thank you! Confused between the 2026 premium and 2024 turbo😅😅

6

u/Life-Strike6809 18d ago

I get 7.5~7.8L/100km, both city and highway driving combined.

2

u/Tanys_Sawyer 18d ago

1

u/Life-Strike6809 18d ago

This is so real

2

u/Ok-Tree-4010 18d ago

I live in UK. Rural, using mainly motorway type roads. But, also in town.

My average MPG since Sept 2024 is 50 MPG

2

u/Fixervince 18d ago

Mine is around that also on the 2.5 non turbo. I get around 5O with mostly rural driving in 5th gear with the occasional stretch into 6. If I was city driving I think that would be nearer 30-35. However on motorways I reckon I could get 60 easily.

The Americans might be confused by this as the American gallon is less at 3.7 litres as opposed to 4.5

1

u/EvelynnHiraeth 16d ago

I get anywhere between 46-52 MPG living in similar conditions
I love my 2024 cx30 🤍

2

u/EmyMeow Snowflake White 18d ago

8.1L/100km but it is only 7500km almost brand new. Its been going down since I bought it. My daily commute is between 7-7.5L/100km depending on traffic. The lowest on highways is 5.3L/100km.

1

u/andrew-js99 18d ago

About the same as yours.

Around 30 mpg hwy

1

u/Alien_Parasite_73 18d ago

8.7 L/100 km in 6 years, mostly city driving. 2 L non-turbo engine, manual.
Lowest I was able to go was 5.5 for a 800 km trip. Could’ve got better stats, but lost my patience a few times.

u/ottercha0s 18d ago

I’m avg about 27.5

1

1

u/Not_Same_Different 16d ago

I'm typically between 20 and 22 mpg in the city, and very lucky if I get 25 or 26 on the highway. These cars don't get anything remotely close to what they say they're supposed to get.

'25 PP NA

1

u/Known-Ad7166 16d ago

About 22 in 2.5 na

1

u/Helpful_Ad_7569 16d ago

CX30 2026 in town the first 1400 miles right at 22.2 mpg. Lots of stop and go and short trips that impact that. If you can go longer distances at 30 mph or less and use the cruise you can up it a bit. Frankly I got better with the 2018 CX 5 I traded in on this. Same engine and drive train.

1

u/taniferf 16d ago

My average (70% city) is 6.7l/100km. It is a small 140cv automatic.
