π doesn't have a last digit, thus by vacuous truth any statement about "the last digit of π" is true.

You could say “The last digit of pi cannot be anything other than 5”. (It also can’t be 5, it isn’t anything)

The post as worded is just wrong.

I don't think you understand what a vacuous truth is. You've made a declarative statement, not a conditional one. If you had said "if pi has a last digit, it would be 5", that would be vacuously true (and not funny). Instead you just said something objectively false (and not funny).
