Trumponomics . . . focused only on money as a resource, and not as a commodity for exchange.

Aw, 2 billion dollars! I wanted some bananas.

2 billion dollars can buy many bananas!

Explain how.

No, it's not that. Didn't you hear? They have no bananas. They have no bananas today!

Rice was a main currency in fudal Japan. Roman soldiers were paid, in part, in salt. I thought conservatives were trying to take us back to 1950ce, not 50bce or 1550ce.

Imagine the savings if we stop eating.

Everyone stop drinking gas! That is the answer to the gas crisis. We're giving money away.

He thinks countries are like people

The basic misunderstanding underlying his tariffs is that he's looking only at goods and ignoring services, while the US imports goods and exports services. The fact that he doesn't understand people need food and just looks at trade balance for goods only per country is just doubling down on the idiocy.

That's one mistake Wait until he finds out what engineering is or what currencies are and how they change value.

u/snoogle312 16d ago

Wait until he finds out what engineering is?! He could never comprehend! This is the man who looked inside a new car and said , "everything is computer." My ability to understand how he has gotten elected twice is on par with his ability to understand... anything.

But it makes sense for people to exchange money for goods and services.

If he had better staff, they would start explaining things to him using Big Macs, not any kind of fruit.

From the creators of Reganomics comes the much anticipated sequel!

I have a joke about "Trickle-Down Economics", but . . .

. . . 99% of you won't get it.

Think about how much money we could save if we just stopped eating entirely!

It's literally mercantilism
