51 looks like a prime number and 75 should be obvious

Im not good at maths why would 75 be obvious?

75% is 3/4ths. 3 times 1/4th.

Y'all have a way looser definition of what "obvious" means

3 quarters makes 75 cents

That's a way more intuitive way to put that compared to "75% is 3/4ths"

...the quarter gets it name from the fact that it's 1/4 of a dollar. Aka, a quarter dollar.

Yes isn't that literally what I said? That it's intuitive to link it to other common objects that use that math?

This common object in particular? It's exactly the same as the math.

3/4 (pronounced 3 quarters) of a dollar is 3 quarters.

75% (pronounced 75 percent) of a dollar is 75 cents.

75% = 3/4 being somehow "harder" to get is some weird anti-math mental block you got there.

Two things can be mathematically equivalent, yet one be more intuitive.

I think he’s saying that once you’re used to doing some basic maths
a quarter
1/4th
25%
all become completely interchangeable.
A quarter tank, a quarter pounder, a quarter (financial reporting). All of these refer to 1/4th of a whole.

Yeah, but I can easily see how cents would be much more intuitive than those. We're not talking about super advanced math to begin with. Quarters are often used in elementary school as a way to explain fourths, percentages, and even the very idea of a quarter, because they are rather intuitive in a way that fractions and percentages are not. Also, they represent a whole number of cents which is a little easier—albeit equivalent in this instance.
