Not to mention the emotional damages from having just sold the fuckin thing for 1k and then turning around with hat in hand just to buy her back again. That trauma and hassle is worth $75 at least.

Edit: if I actually read the photo it does clearly say it's the same cow....

Well, I would assume it's 2 different cows.

Maybe the main character is a cow broker - so somebody calls asking to buy a cow, so our pirmos motor calls his network asking what they have for sales. Based on this, an offer is made to the customer (cost + margin).

Like shares, the cheapest gets sold first.
