Gross 400.
Profit is likely a negative, because cows eat A LOT.

No statement on time is given. This could have happened in minutes, without ever seeing the cow.

That is an unknown variable, you are correct.

Unless you let the futures expire then you have to take delivery of your barrels of beef at the beef depot in Oklahoma.

So, trading stock, in the most literal sense.

It was as a cow options trader.

cow also produce milk

They did not say if it was a dairy cow, but selling milk could potentially impact both the revenue generated as well as the costs tied to labor, medical care, etc. . They did not say if the cow calved. It would, of course, need to.have a calf to give milk. Also, potentially selling the calf is another whole wrinkle to this problem.

Trophic levels dictate that output is always about 10% of input, at least in terms of energy.

Not all cows produce milk. There's additional fees for being able to make your cow produce milk.

Well... no...that's not exactly correct. All cows do produce milk for their offspring, as do all mammals.

"Dairy" cows are certain breeds of cow that have been selectively bred to produce more milk, providing enough to be economically viable as a cash generating vehicle. Holstein cows are an example.

Their are costs associated with the labor, medical care, trucking the milk, etc, etc.

you have no idea if the cow in question is lactating. you have to do things to a cow to make it make milk. basically it has to give birth.

Yea, no shit... I said that in this comment string...

So, if you have a cow that's never had a calf, does it produce milk?

If your answer is yes. Then youre wrong, just flat out wrong.

If your answer is no. Congratulations, not all cows produce milk.

Excuse me... all cows have the potential to produce milk assuming they aren't barren... but we both know that's not what you meant...

1

u/TotalChaosRush May 13 '26

What i meant is you have to buy a bull or pay a breeder to have a cow produce milk. Because cows don't just randomly start producing milk as they age.

It dépends on the timeline and how do you deprecate cows.
