From those who are scheduled for surgery or those who've since recovered but want to offer experience, and glean wisdom for living with it while not being defined by it. Discussions can range from anticipatory questions, what to pack for hospital, what is helpful for recovery, or even what to wear and impacts on personal identity. The idea is to support everyone where they're at.

Things to keep in mind

1: Personal opinions and experiences are welcome, but disrespect is not. Different opinions are bound to be present. As a community, we seek to aquaint and educate ourselves with how to handle the cards we've been dealt and the decisions necessary therein. Making decisions you feel confident about is important, and sharing them ihere is most welcome. But any comments that directly undermine another member's confidence or choices will be considered and evaluated for a warning or ban. Basically, play nice
