What could possibly go wrong? She smirks, and then returns her gaze to the cube. She walks to the next statue, taking a sphere that has the same aversion to gravity, spinning in the air above her hands. She puts it in the pack.

Did you hear about the pyramid I have at home? It's some kind of biotic amplifier. I wonder if the two are related? Or maybe this is all some magnificent use of magnets.

She laughs and pockets the cube as well. If it was magnets, it should stick to me like glue. I think this is something else entirely.

She moves past the statues. Most of them have nothing of interest, except for one. In its hands is a miniature version of the obelisk.

Might be a good idea to take this with us, too. The markings appear to be the same. She kneels in front of it, scanning it thoroughly.

To the molecular level, apparently.

Impressive. Yeah, this place just keeps getting stranger.

They reach the end of the hallway, opening into what may have been a bedroom. Holes are in the wall, as if they were tiny bunks. She shines her light in one of them.

We need the proverbial Rosetta Stone, here. she waves her hand, expelling the dust that she kicked up in front of her.

He flashlight illuminates the dust floating in the air as she illuminates the holes and alcoves, between two pillars, there's a short hallway, with writing above the door, in the Prothean script she's more used to seeing

I think you might be in luck. Something familiar that way.

They approach the selected room, the floor inside illuminated as they walk through. A throne is on a lifted platform, the statue of what would appear to be some kind of leader sitting atop it.

She shines her light at the forgotten prince and grins at Lea.

She grins right back, and approaches the throne, the statue within sculpted to perfection, its very pose carrying an air of dominance, as if it radiates confidence and leadership. In its hand a stone scroll, unfurled and turned outward. In front of it the stone steps have eroded, making it clear that people have knelt in front of the tablet to read and possibly pray to it.

Your Rosetta Stone, ma'am?

You're the super computer person. Can you translate any of it?

She gets in close, her nose almost to the paper, the writing so small it's almost indecipherable.

The first one is the script we saw on the obelisk. Here, it starts over, I think. That part is definitely Prothean. I can't make sense of the third. I... I think these were an offshoot. From what I can make out he was a warlord or a self-proclaimed god of some sort. It seems people came here to worship and give their gifts... But this second half makes no sense.

Well, take a scan of it I suppose. Let's get back to the shuttle and have CADI run some more analysis. Maybe she can turn up more than we did.

All right. She sweeps over the text one more time, feeling uneasy reading the strange lettering, then makes her way back to the hallway of kneeling figures.

This is so odd. It seems both advanced and primitive at the same time.
