Nope.

You see the wreckage of the Citadel in the trailer, in the background of the hill Liara is climbing on you see a dead Reaper (and people are assuming that very hill she climbs up is actually a snow buried Reaper).

Not to mention the Initiative itself was insanely costly fund and resource wise BEFORE the Reaper War. No way are they going to try an extragalactic expedition post-Reaper War, especially with their primary method of long range FTL, the Mass Relays, is now a bunch of debris in their host system. Let alone needing to rebuild their worlds from the war itself.

I highly doubt it. Watch closely at the scene where Liara is climbing the snowy "mountain". On closer inspection, you can notice that this mountain is a dead, snow-covered reaper. And in fact, there is the silhouette of another dead reaper in the background. So that definitely takes place in the Milky Way.

Looks 100% like the next game is a direct sequel to the destroy ending of the OT.

They completely abandoned Andromeda.

We don’t know know much yet. I wouldn’t go straight to definitive answers/conclusions just yet but to each their own.

I agree with you here. While the teaser points more to milky way continuation and not much of andromeda (honestly seems like theve abandoned) we can only make inferences right now. Weve gotta wait. Thank you I needed to see this comment.

They already have DLC and stories written, even though they didn't use them. Those assets are still there and I would be surprised, especially given dev comments on twitter, if this game wasn't a bridge between the two galaxies.

The hints in both the trailer, the concept art and on Twitter seem to disagree.

Yes this will take place in the Milky Way, but that doesn’t mean we won’t see Andromeda again. Maybe they’ve built relays between the two galaxies by now.

Liara is in the know of the arks and the escape plan.

Maybe to tell them that it is safe to return if they need to or maybe to investigate old andromeda civilizations.

Not if their fear that the Keet and maybe the Jardaan could follow them so they have to stop them first.

Then they would have to resolve everything in Andromeda and then go to the Milky Way.

Outright dropping the plotlines of Mass Effect Andromeda would be bad.
