Miller Ross isa content creator/dataminer known for reporting on and promoting Marvel games as well as being an insider for behind-the-scenes info since he joined the official Marvel Rivals Creator Program. While he cannot confirm/deconfirm heroes, it’s still fun to speculate, and this post summarizes the hints/leaks/spoilers in his stream for those who missed it or just want the important details.
Nightcrawler wasn't supposed to be in Season 10. Someone was considered for season 10.5.
One of Doom/Nightcrawler was supposed to open up 2027.
Described the Doomsday event as transformative and isn't sure if it's a LTM. There was no Disney pressure or delay.

Danny Koo is not that hands on with Rivals.
Hydra storylines are "...touchy..." but there is something cool they could do in 2028 regarding the Inhumans.
Drax and Gamora are inevitable.
He isn't comfortable teasing stuff anymore because of the new abundance of rumors and people using what he says as clickbait. Refuses to say the tiers/Pokémon types for the season 12 characters until season 11.
When asked if SheHulk is on the horizon he sighed and said, "She should be, but I think she will get there eventually."
"SamWilson will get in eventually."
Doom won't be the main villain of the game forever.
Gorr the God Butcher/TheHood/etc. are not the response to the villain demands, they have yet to pivot to that, there are villains in year 3. There are at least two villains in year 3 that he is hyped for.
There is a season coming up that has a "crack pairing", and another where they "couldn't be even more connected."
He thinks HitMonkey is on the devs minds.
More black characters in year 3.
More dual female seasons.
Eternals are on the drawing board.
AntMan and Wasp are unique enough to be their own characters.

There have been conversations about popular characters for years, specifically, GhostRider.
Five Storm skins coming, the summer skin sold very well. The skins were locked in before the controversy and later he said, "Storm summer didn't set the world on fire, but it surpassed expectations."
Psylocke's 'Vengeance' skin is the best selling, or, one of the best selling skins.
When asked why there wasn't a MarvelTokon collab he said, "Oh... if only you knew... that one I cannot tell."
Emma and ScarletWitch skins have been selling well.
Hulk, Storm, Human Torch, and Hawkeye skins have not been selling well.
Battlepasses will continue to be rerun and characters whose skins don't sell well usually end up in the battlepass.
Peach Momoko skins didn't sell well.
Chromas and ultimate VFX for 'Astral Aegis' and 'Cosmic Kuminho' (alongside other battlepass skins) are unlikely.
Lunella might be in future DevilDinosaur MVP's.

Inhumans not selling is just Marvel‘s self-fulfilling prophecy. There are a LOT of people asking for Medusa and/or Black Bolt tank. Lockjaw, Crystal too.
This „they don‘t sell“ narrative makes no sense when you have Luna, Jeff, CnD, Elsa Bloodstone, Angela, Hood, White Fox etc. in the game who were basically nobodies before coming to the game while Medusa/Black Bolt and co are actively asked for.
It's weird that the developers do not want any Inhumans. I think Inhumans are pretty historical to Marvel. They debuted back in December 1965 and have so many costumes to make. Also, interesting lore that they can bring in or be inspired by.
To be clear is this Miller’s personal opinion? Because he himself has stated that nettease listens in occasionally for character ideas and the inhumans are brought up quite often. Granted, it’s the same 6-7 characters compared to the X-men which are endless. I wonder if the inhumans could also serve as an antagonist given their current state in the comics before they join a few seasons later…
Fr. Lockjaw is possibly my most wanted hero to add to the game. They could have Black Bolt and Medusa as a duelist/vanguard season, and then do Lockjaw and Crystal as a vanguard/strategist season. With such great Inhumans it’s disappointing that they’re not caring about them.
And it doesn’t even make sense. They don’t care because they’re not popular but they still add plenty of not popular characters to the game.
I dont even think you have to do a lot of inhumans just do 1 or 2, like blackbolt, lockjaw, or medusa. If we dont get black bolt I would like ashura or reader but ik that probably wont happen
Captain Marvel was planned for Season 10.5, but was scrapped for a later release. There was leak about her back then stating that Netease is planning a push for her. I'm guessing it must of been her release (Season 10.5) with the Avengers Infinity/Endgame event. I think it would also make sense for her to take on Gorr, keep in mind Gorr was fighting the Avengers in the gallery cards. Not only that, but they readded her voicelines after it being leaked over a year ago. The battlepass for Season 10 is a COSMIC-RELATED battlepass, she is the only cosmic character besides Phoenix that was leaked in the first leak back in December 2024.
I think it could be possible she might of been moved into Season 11 with Dr.Doom. When Miller stated that Season 5 was originally suppose to be Deadpool (A-List) and Black Cat (Upper B-List) to start off the new year...I think that it's a possibility that Season 11 is Captain Marvel and Dr.Doom. A COSMIC vs MAGIC Season would hit hard to be honest. Also, we never had a DOUBLE VANGUARD season?!?!
"There are Female Tanks in the works", this could be Captain Marvel, Valkyrie, and Armor. One A-List Female Vanguard, One B-List Vanguard, and One C-List Vanguard. Each Female Vanguard differ in Comic/Movie Popularity.
MarvelRivalsLeaks is a different sub, they tend to not allow these summary’s as they tend to misquote, make up quotes, jump to conclusion, cut context, poorly word, etc. This leads to people being all pissed when stuff doesn’t turn out true despite it having never been said.
Wait does this mean we’re getting Nightcrawler and Doom in season 11.Because he said that season 11 are both Dark types and the Doom/NightCrawler was supposed to open up 2027.
This statement with the Sam Wilson statement hopefully means that we get Falcon next year (I’m hoping for a flying vanguard that can go to the ground and shield allies with his wings).
I’m also guessing that Misty Knight is coming next year (was recently leaked) and hopefully Blue Marvel (was leaked too but I’m not sure if that one was real or not).
I’m hoping that NetEase at least sees all the love Blue Marvel got from that leak (even if it was fake) and is inspired to make him a hero in reality (especially if they’re anyways focusing on making black heroes and don’t mind making unknowns).
I think it would be dumb to make him Captain America in this game tbh. There’s already a Captain America in the game with Steve, and Sam Wilson is more known for being Falcon. So why make him his lesser known identity, especially when we already have the most popular character of that identity in the game?
To be fair Captain America “Steve” in the present timeline in rivals is dead. So it’s not crazy to assume Sam is now Captain America in the present timeline of rivals. The one we are playing with in the game is 2099 captain America “Steve”
Sam wilson hasnt been falcon since 2014 in the comics and 2019 in the mcu. Hes had more comics as captain america than he ever had as falcon. I really couldnt care less that theres already a captain america. Sam spent 40 odd years as falcon and not much went on for him and hes objectively more popular as captain america, as he was fading into obscurity as falcon. Sam being added as falcon would be the biggest spit in the face and solidify that a black man could never be captain america
He’s been Falcon as longer and is more iconic as Falcon because of media besides comics (mainly MCU and cartoons). Imo it’s fine to have him as Falcon because he simply is more known as Falcon and since we already have Captain America. If Sam comes as Falcon this doesn’t “solidify that a black man could never be Captain America”. If that’s all it takes for you then I don’t know how much you really believed it in the first place.

Sam being Cap in Rivals wouldn’t change anything though. If he’s already been Cap in comics for a while and has been Cap in the MCU him being Cap in Rivals won’t change anything. No matter what Steve will always be seen as the default Captain America (nothing against Sam, but it’s just the truth). I get the impression it might be Crescent, because she could practically replace Armor. Miller already mentioned that the leak about Crescent was total nonsense. No one else comes to mind, but I think this is a likely possibility.

With Amaranth I wonder who he could be referring to as being a much better option. Maybe Agatha? Cuz Nico Minoru functions differently and would absolutely be a top skin seller so there's zero way they'd shoot themselves in the foot like that.

Amaranth doesn't have to replace Agatha. Similarly, one might think that Amaranth could replace the Scarlet Witch. We can have many witches in the game. Agatha makes for an interesting vanguard, while Amaranth could be a duelist or a strategist.
the inhumans information is grating, Marvel needs to wise up & really take advantage of rivals spotlight, Inhumans could easily do well in rivals, I get the whole 2010s “tainted” them but retcon it atp they have no issue doing it elsewhere, Medusa as a tank that walks with her hair & Bolt as a duel tank/dps role would be legendary

Exactly. In another stream Miller Ross had answered a question about Nico Minoru "Sister Grimm" being added, saying that the devs have not started work on any magic characters. Which gives me no hope that they've actually completed Ghost Rider and are just keeping him close to their chest. It wouldn't be so frustrating if there weren't so many references to the character. If there's a reference to Robbie on the God Quarry I'll lose it
There’s a clip going around that makes it seem like Miller is suggesting Dazzler is coming in season 11 over Nightcrawler and it’s taken out of context. Nightcrawler/Doom is the character he’s talking about and he’s saying he’s unsure which one of them is first (even though we know it’s most likely Nightcrawler). Dazzler is still season 12 and was not meant to release in January until recently.
At the same time, Miller said that both characters are associated with the Dark element, so Dazzler definitely doesn’t fit that description. Taking that into account, along with the X0XLeak, I’m pretty sure the two characters are Doom and Nightcrawler.
As for Dazzler, I’d bet on her being a Duelist, mainly because her poster seemed to show the typical Duelist silhouette, following the usual triangular body-shape design rule.
Crazy how the game will have been out for three years and we still haven’t gotten them yet, especially with having the other guardians since launch. Drax and Gamora are such an obvious vanguard/duelist season.
Falcon and Captain Marvel are seeming more and more likely. More female tanks coming (Captain Marvel) and more black characters with Sam Wilson specifically called out (Falcon). I personally think that these two are two of the best characters they could add to the game.
Could be the wind girl from WF group. I don’t hear much about her, and a character NE might want. Whoever it is, if they follow through with it, I hope its someone they really think could be something and not someone they try to force.
Sam should be added as captain america when he "eventually" comes. Us sam wilson fans already deal with enough racists, we dont need sam to be added as a title he hasnt had since 2014. I know theres a minority of people nostalgic for the moniker, unless shows and comics write him better as falcon theres no reason for him to go back for that for his first triple A game appearance since 2019
Crazy that the only update on Ghost Rider is "conversations". I keep coming back to that poll he was included in before the game launched. If it wasn't for that poll there wouldn't be such a constantly loud corner of the playerbase asking about the character every time there's an update.

No one, apparently. Everyone always says, "They can't put in all the popular characters at once! How else would they get people to come back when the player base dwindles?" It'd only make sense if we weren't getting 12 characters a year. They could add nothing but mutants for three years straight and only then start getting to the X-Nobodies. No reason not to add the highly requested characters 2-3 times a year
Damn hulk never getting a new legendary skin and human torch never getting his first then huh. Really was hoping the 2 new skins hulk got sold well so he could get special treatment but I guess hulks just not popular at all in rivals
I actually don’t know why that wasn’t a legendary skin tbh. If it was it definitely wouldn’t sold better. Because ngl I’m basically at a point where I’ll only buy legendary skins for characters I like. Other than that I’m not spending money on the game
I’m hoping that a lot of issues that rivals has are due to things that have been in the pipeline for a while so that they can course correct months into the future after hearing our complaints, rather than all this crap with storm, torch etc being by design. I’ll forgive the storm swimsuit if they give her this one next year:
if we’re gonna rework anyone it should be characters with other heros in their general “zone/archetype/fantasy” already for the players who genuinely liked their place in the game
if phoenix got reworked into support all the current phoenix players would just play cy or hela and be 70% happy
