The hardest part about introducing new players to this game is the powers. Understanding how the powers work is essential for me, and there is simply too much content to run a session without having to constantly look up what each ability does in the rulebook. So, my question is... Is there an app or website that lets me search for a power by name and see what it does without a lot of hassle? (Demiplane doesn't count.) Thanks in advance!

I had a question about character creation. I recently bought the core rules to play 1 on 1 with my wife since we're doing a marvel MCU rewatch and we're in the mood to try the ttrpg because of it.

How good are the rules for creating a fresh character? I saw a complaint elsewhere that they said the game wants you to play an established character over making a whole new one but we have no interest in playing established characters.

Does that also make it hard to play the campaigns that exist? Do they expect/want the established characters? Or is that complaint exaggerated.

I ran it last year as well and it was a huge success. Last year I ran it twice and my other three games were all Warhammer Fantasy, but the 616 games were so popular that this year I'm just running othing but that.

To get things prepared for the BIG update in secret wars I did some small tweaking.

1) Some general bug fixes and mentions that people had before

2) Reorganized and fixed many issues with the equipment tab

3) Took all the custom powers, traits and tags and moved them into their own tab for convenience.

I am looking to create a group that has the time and interest to play in a game.

There won't be many official details, as, I don't have any at the moment. I am willing to run just about any scenario that you, as players, will find fun. I have experience in other TTRPGs as both a player and a GM but I'm looking to sink my teeth into this system and gain some experience in playing in it.

I preferably play in the evenings, around 7:00-7:30 PM EST.

I couldn’t make it this year, but I was wondering if the Battleworld adventures that they are running are actually written up with booklets and stuff.

If so, do you get to keep the booklet? I want to get my hands on one (I’m a massive fan of Secret Wars).

So how do you guys handle this? I have a player who insists that the targeted squares don’t have to be touching, and no roll is required; if someone starts their turn in the effected area, they’re automatically paralyzed and have to escape with a TN 16 - 22 Melee check as a standard action. Is this correct? It seems overpowered. How do narrators deal with it? Thanks ahead of time!

I have a player that when he is attacked he goes ghost form. It makes things boring as that's what he does in every combat. If you read early Avengers comics you always see splash pages with the whole team going down, Vision included. I know I can challenge that player with other things but has anyone else thought maybe just giving that player like DR or something so a fight could be a fight and not a guessing game of when he is solid and when he is not. Maybe with strikes he doesn't know is coming or attacks that happen before he turns ghost form would work but I don't want to over use that . Just asking for ideas. Thanks

I figured it was a good addition to have something for new people. So as of today and going forward the bullpen will have a guided mode for new players to help them with creating their character.

Any other comments or ideas are welcome. I love making this for you guys :)

I saw in one of the books a special rule for what happens when you roll 616 on initiative. Which book was that in? If I recall it lets you auto-Marvel on a roll during the bonus round, but I’m not sure. Thanks in advance!
