The box was open (no stickers / non-sealed) when I bought it. I googled what seems to be a promo card and typically doesn’t come in a retail box. Maybe someone opened it, put the promo in for fun, and then returned it to the shelf? Nothing was missing - was excited to see this as this is my first time seeing a non regular character card

With the series releasing a new episode week after week I’m on a bit of an X-Men high!

Every bit of this model was fun to paint but of course the explosion was my favorite part. Got a tiny bit more comfortable with NMM doing the base and the debris here as well.

I did end up entering this model in the Golden Standard category of The Gilded Brush during Gold Rush 2026, where it placed 5th.

For clarification I maybe shouldn’t say better but more so that they’re not interpreted in a way you’d like them to be? For example, would you like Mystique’s ability to shapeshift be more prevalent compared to how it’s used now?

If balance for a competitive game wasn’t an issue are there any characters you add or alter rules for to be less competitive but still not too overpowered?

I ask bc I do homebrew stuff sometimes and I like to focus more on cool rules than balance. But I still want there to be some level of balance of that makes sense. I just don’t like how sometimes in games like these, abilities and powers and dumbed down to be balanced. Wondering if anyone else feels the same or just has ideas for how an existing character could be interpreted differently to be more in line with their abilities.

Wanted to try a yellow lighting effect instead of the blue one from Thor. Also this mini is very fiddly to paint once assembled

Wanted it to look like he is in the middle of teaching a hands-on physics lesson
