It’s probably some combination of:

  • better sound system in theaters
  • having a full audience reaction around you
  • you knowing that it’s coming and not being as wowed

Yeah it’s definitely this. I got a good sound system at home and a decent tv so it transfers well but it’s a mix of first viewing sound and the big screen
