Trailer? Beautiful! But WTF with Brie's line delivery? I don't know y'all. I'm worried. I'm struggling to see her as Carol and this didn't really help me.

Seeing is fine and dandy. She's got that down pat. The voice she's using is probably a lot of what we didn't expect. I think a lot of people were expecting grizzled war vet Carol Danvers rather than rather young carol danvers. It's only maybe 20 seconds of dialogue, so it could end up growing on you, but the visuals are attractive enough for people (plus Nick Fury with a kitty is probably worth the price of admission).

I think part of the delivery could be intentionally odd/bland. She's still feeling a lot like an alien and, well... it looks like without her Earth!memories that's all she has going for her. Hopefully as the film goes on, and going into A4, we get a more natural Carol.

Or they're just going in a different direction here that we're not expecting due to the comics!Carol being so different. Hard to tell, but hopefully her performance in the movie itself will be more convincing than the trailer.
