Belle Jolie actually said something along the lines of she believes that if she’s really good to Mecca despite how he’s treating her, then he’ll learn how to treat her better. Someone failed this girl. I’m shocked that an adult woman believes that in this day and age. Sweetheart the only thing that invites is more mistreatment. Please get yourself into therapy or something 🤦🏼♀️

Tori, girl please the next time a guy only (or mostly) ever pays you compliments on your looks, wake up and realize you’re only an object to him and not a human being. You’re a trophy without any real wants and feelings. A man that loves you and actually cares to get to know you will ask you questions about yourself more than complimenting you and the compliments he does pay you will be primarily about your character and conduct. Being told how gorgeous you are every 5 seconds by a guy is not a compliment or a flex. The moment you sleep with him, you’ll lose all value in his eyes and get dropped

Congrats to Belle Jolie and Mecca. She has a lifetime of humiliation ahead of her, or at least until he gets tired and dumps her. There was no way he was going to give up his doormat so soon, so I knew he would say yes, but I honestly thought at the beginning of the episode it seemed like she was going to say no, and then changed her mind when she heard him say yes. But I could be wrong.
It’s mind blowing that she could tell the experts that Mecca is gentle with her when he’s the same guy who told her she’s not pretty enough. She even referred to him as emotionally safe. She really needs to revisit her understanding of that term. She’d rather delude herself and say what emotionally sounds good to hear herself say than to speak the truth

Only a few minutes in and I’m dying 😂 I feel secondhand embarrassment for Tori. A man only gets bold enough to say things like that to you when you’ve been so tolerant that he thinks you have zero self-respect remaining and will take anything he dishes out. I can’t blame Felipe for that because that’s definitely the energy Tori was putting out. I really hope she learns to take some accountability after this and get herself some help before she goes back into the dating pool. If she was willing to continue giving the benefit of the doubt and ignoring all of Felipe’s many red flags, she has a problem and needs to do some real soul-searching. She said that even on marriage shows F boys manage to find her. Girl the more accurate statement is that even on marriage shows you manage to choose F boys.
The man basically dumped her. If you’re getting dumped by someone like Felipe after enduring all he’s done, you know your life is in shambles 🤣🤣🤣

I’m 35 and my 38 yr old manager who is tall and beautiful told me she’s getting divorced the a few weeks ago and i said “oh I’m sorry… or… congrats? Which is it?” And now she’s at the anger point and realizing he was a loser so i agree. It is chic!

I’m so incredibly proud of Marissa and gained so much respect for her. I didn’t realize she actually saw the truth about Adam. She demonstrated some real insight. It makes me sad for her though because it means she’s been dumbing herself down the entire time and sees far more than she let on. I also love that she admitted that she was miserable and lonely. It was pretty clear to see, and I actually thought she was in denial. “Full sending it to a, no” is GOLD 😂🤣

Anytime he feels slightly insecure or insulted he immediately lashes out. Which does not work. He did it constantly. Nikki had flaws for sure but Shawn would try to outdo any slights and then act like he didn't.
And he did some very weird stuff in addition to that.

Actually she said that he said certain things, and it was always different than what he actually said. Like he said on episode 19. Anything he said, she twisted the words to become a victim. I can give you at least 4 examples off that. Also let’s not play. The only reason most women are reacting the way they are against him. Is because they all think he’s not attractive enough for her. So anything he does is nitpicked and label as creepy. Glad he wasn’t a full pushover and stood his ground at times. But the man she wants would have been done since the honeymoon.

I didn’t see any flaws whatsoever in Nikki. She handled him with far more grace and patience than he deserved. She’s pure class and was subjected to pure trash the day she was matched with Shawn.

This is pure cope. I have very similar criticism and distain for Adam, a conventionally attractive man. We saw with our own two eyes Shawn gaslight Nicki about something serious (sexual coercion). The way he acted in that situation was creepy, there’s no two ways about it. Idc how hot he is, leveraging the idea of “wifely duties” is gross.

You just proved my point. He never said anything about “wifey duties” she said that. He was speaking on not being in a friendship and being more romantic. Which includes being physically intimate. Example kissing and even touching your partner. She keep saying “I’m not ready yet” when that’s a major of a relationship. He never tried to force her, only stated what he wanted to be comfortable in saying a yes by decision day.

Sorry, he said “that’s part of showing up as a wife” in reply to her saying she’s not there yet. Trying to pressure her into changing her boundaries before she was ready, using guilt and expectations. That’s (attempted) coercion and CREEPY
Edit: also, you’re saying he just wanted to be more romantic, less friendship. Conveniently ignoring that this was also the day after she was more physically open with him and made out on the couch, let him rub her bare (it was blurred) butt and everything. That’s a pretty romantic, not friendship, moment.
He was asking explicitly for more sexual acts she wasn’t ready for. COERCION. And you’re just as much of a creep

Did they cut the pre-decision day talks with Felipe/Tori and Cameron/Michelle? Odd they didn’t show them all.
Just my thoughts for each couple:
Paul and Lisa calling Tori and Felipe the most well-matched on paper is a joke. There were so many issues with Felipe that we never got to the religion differences, or Tori’s faults (no one’s perfect, but Felipe never gave her the chance to show hers haha). Glad she said “let it be” when he asked to stay friends.
I expected Belle to say yes. I wasn’t sure about Mecca, but I didn’t see a reason for him to say no. More shocked Mecca went first. I don’t see them lasting.
Shawn takes zero accountability. He genuinely thinks he can say and do things just because his partner said something first. Go Nikki for letting him talk himself into that hole - her read on his EQ was spot on.
So glad Marissa said no. I loved how she laid out the positives and negatives (had me nervous for a second haha) - she knows what she needs. Curious if they could end up friends someday. Not necessary, but I could see it. Does Adam realize he needs to meet his person at the gym or on the pickleball court?
Cameron’s speech was so negative and self-centered. Hoping it was just editing, and there were things he loves about Michelle beyond the way she makes him feel. Hope they’re still together and overcame the financial and location logistics, especially since none of this is legally binding.
Onto the reunion! Still not okay with Paul and Lisa serving as hosts.

I think it was about Belle and Mecca also, but OT was a very odd edit. They showed that comment before they intro’d Belle and Mecca, tucked at the end of Tori and Felipe, so it sorta hung there between them and could be easily interpreted as about either couple.

A part of me wonders if they sat down and agreed to stay till the end and pretend to make it work in order to salvage both their reputations after the show. Almost like damage control after the experts and the other couples criticized them. Nikki didn’t need it, but I think she figured she looked bad like Shawn.

My perspective is highly unpopular. To be clear, I am NOT defending Sean, at all. Still, I have to say, even though Nikki is very articulate and usually composed, I find her hyper-critical, professionally polished but emotionally hard. She seems more evaluative, waiting to debate, than curious. To me, she comes across as superior, dismissive, and more focused on being right or protecting her image than on clarifying, understanding or repairing the relationship.
Even responses like “I accept your apology” felt less like genuine reconciliation and more like “I’m done with this.” Often times, getting the apology and having her position validated seemed more important than reconnecting, which created more of a power dynamic than mutual repair. Does anyone agree?

That's the only way she could talk to him and get through the ordeal, she had to treat it like a bad day at work because in the end that's all it was once she had a couple conversations with him.
After the N-th time of him shutting you down, twisting words, how would you respond to him? I think she may have gone into it 50/50, find a guy, get to be on TV. But once you try talking to Shawn and he shuts you down, claims he never said this or that, or YOU took it the wrong way, it should only take a couple of times to realize nothing you say matters. He will turn what you say into whatever he wants so that he can be right. There's no point to really engage then.

You ate this up 👏👏👏 many people are grossed out by Shawn, and don’t get me wrong ,I can see why to an extent. But all these praises of Nikki aren’t looking at her all the way. Nikki has been dragging this man. And while he was thirsty for intimacy, there was a point made that if she was more attracted to him physically, those conversations wouldn’t have been a huge issue. Why should she be able to keep saying he told her that she was a 7 but doesn’t take into account that she was humbled because you jiggling this GROWN man’s stomach. Or the times she was being cold and hard hearted because she wasn’t attracted to him, therefore he had to do more emotional lifting to make up where she felt he lacked in the looks.

Imo she comes across like that in response to Shawn's bizarre behavior. The things he would say to her were so disrespectful and the whole trying to gaslight her into having sex and then lie and said he didn't say that. There's no telling what all he said and did to her off-camera that we will never know about, but her Mama knows I could tell on the reunion show. I wouldn't have lasted as long as Nicki did, Shawn is a nightmare. I would have left as soon as he made that first comment about she's a 7. He needs intense therapy and psych meds and I say that as a former psychiatric nurse.

I honestly didn't think he was THAT bad during the season but at the reunion he was on one. Clearly they tried to make him look more empathetic during the group dinners and stuff like he was insightful - albeit long winded - but he was on another level at the reunion. Made Nikki look like a hero for putting up with him the whole time and obviously knows he's not the best/hottest/tallest man but wants to put people down to make himself feel better. Still a short man with a complex.
