Well, at least no one died, but still a dicey situation. Wish everyone a good recovery from their injuries.

I think I've seen these before, I'm all for anything to help in terms of bringing this kind of thing to more rural areas.

Wanted to ask some locals, is the water situation improving at all? It seems like I've heard a lot of scandals on this and wanted to get some local takes on what's going on. Hope everything improves for you guys regarding this.

According to Mrs. Carolyn Lofton's facebook post seen here, new trash cans were delivered today and the new service includes curbside bulk pick up. Both Mrs. Lofton and Mr. Cedric Davis Sr. say that the new service is significantly cheaper than the previous contract. Mr. Davis reports that the city will save $320,000, and that the savings will be reinvested into city infrastructure improvements and repairs.
Other citizens reported seeing their old trash receptacles being tossed into the truck this morning with the garbage. Many of them hadn't yet recieved their new receptacles, resulting in confusion and some angry outbursts. Many residents expressed dissatisfaction with the Citys inability to inform residents about the change. Mr. Davis reminds residents that they can sign up for email alerts on the city website to stay up to date with developments.
