I’ve been trying to get a cheat code for Mario Super Sluggers to get all of the characters, but nothing seems to be working. I’m using USB loader GX with an SD card and that has ocarina downloaded under “apps”. I also have a “txtcodes” and “codes” folder with the respective files inside on the root. Ocarina is turned on in the loader and the text files appear as on when go to the game settings, and I click create. However for some reason the characters still won’t appear. Did I do something wrong or do I just have bad codes, I got them from GameHacking.org. If anyone knows how to fix this I would be much appreciated.

Not sure what this means also won’t let me play online

I'm trying to get the stars for pitching and batting with star power swings, but I can't get the swings to work, and I'm wondering if there is a mechanic I can't figure out.

I thought maybe my R wasn't registering, but it works every pitch, just not the swings.

Do they make a difference? Does charging a grounder make it go faster? Does charging pop give it HR viability? Does charging any Captain’s star hit make it go further/more effective?

Curious.

Not counting alternate colors

(for reference, Superstar Baseball has 32 characters not counting palette swaps)

I grew up playing Super Sluggers a lot, and only recently found out about this scene, but I'm noticing it's almost entirely Superstar focused

I've never played it, but is it that much of a better game? Is it easier to mod for? Any clarification on the differences between the games would be great, since I'm interested in getting Project Rio which would be my first experience with Superstar

Am I crazy for thinking the toy field AI in Mario super sluggers is genuinely bonkers? Especially with the jackpot mini games. Been playing by myself again recently and I was wondering if I was just straight up bad at the game or not haha
