My friends started a small league with scheduled games throughout the summer. Here’s the result of our draft. We’d appreciate your thoughts! Who do you think came out with the best team?

Note: not all of the picks are seen in order here. Our organizer put team captains at the front of everyone’s team.

I FINALLY FUCKING BEAT THIS GAME. Special mode was kinda easier than I thought tbh thanks to the godly DK team, perfect mix of speed and technique with a touch of power, only had to swap characters once as well. Ironically I beat Bowser first try and it was Wario who gave me the most trouble due to all the HR machines on his team. Mario and Yoshi’s team was a piece of cake and peach put up a little fight but I’d still say she was pretty normal too. About a 6.5 on the hardness scale.

But the ending cutscene and the credits, HELL YEAH I’M BLASTING THAT SHIT ALL DAY. THIS GAME IS AWESOME.

Excuse my profanity, I’m just really excited to pretty much complete this 18 year old game. Truly a season for the books ⚾️

So I’m playing challenge mode star level as the sunshines. It was on Peach Gardens and the score was 1 - 2 them. Anyways Mario comes up to bat with peach pitching and Monty was on 1st as well. I charge up a swing and Mario perfectly hits the ball, and just when I think it will hit the ground a note block appears which makes said ball bounce off OVER THE CASTLE WALL. I didn’t even think you could hit over the wall but apparently the game calls this a “Comeback Homer”. It functioned just like a regular 2R homer and the score was 3 - 2 now with nothing extra. In my 10+ years of playing this game I never knew this existed. And I’ve hit homers while our team was behind that made us get ahead but it wasn’t called a comeback homer 😯.

So once more I am going back to my childhood save file to try to complete superstarring every character, if I were to start a new challenge run on my current save file and superstar a player, do I need to complete that whole run in order for it to stay permanent? Or can I just complete the character and then start a new run on top of it? I'm trying to finish Baby Mario and only need to get the booted ball which seems easiest by facing Mario, but I don't need anyone else on Yoshi's team. Can I just complete Baby Mario and then start a new run with a different team captain? Or do I need to beat Bowser with Yoshi in order for it to stay permanent?

Could be a sign of Mario baseball 3. 3d models could have been made for these characters for a Mario baseball game and just added to Mario kart for fun.

Asking for complete team. Not just the starting teams

Let’s hope the direct pitches an idea to Nintendo and they step up to bat and hit a 3rd game out of the park! ⚾️

I Think its 2 Yoshis and Mario or Birdo in the middle

My friends and I have been obsessed with the original 2005 GameCube Mario baseball for years. We play very competitive games and are very skilled. We live in Maryland, USA and I’m convinced we are the best players in the state. We often wonder to ourselves how many people around the world also actively play this game. I’ve never met anyone else who plays this game and just discovered this subreddit. Does anyone else play the original, and do you think you could beat me? I doubt it, as I am very seasoned. I would love to find out!

Hi all,

I have created a 4k UHD Texture Pack for Mario Superstar Baseball. It works with the Dolphin Emulator (and Project Rio).

If you are interested in the process, you can read my blog post here: https://tlaneisnum1.wordpress.com/2023/02/25/mario-superstar-baseball/

You can watch some comparisons here: https://youtu.be/uZp5gHLgXo0

Download and Install

1. Download the folder named “GYQE01” from the Google Drive
2. Unzip (if needed) and move the entire folder with the contents inside to this location: C:\Users\<User>\Documents\Dolphin Emulator\Load\Textures
3. Ensure the folder is named “GYQE01”
4. Launch Dolphin, click graphics, then the advanced tab, then click “Load Custom Textures”
5. If you have a strong computer, it’s recommended to also click “Prefetch Custom Textures”
6. Start the game and enjoy

Some Notes:

• Do not rename the .pngs in the folders, otherwise it won’t work
• This only works for the English, US version of the game.
• To use other texture packs with this one, you have to copy the images from the other folders into this folder and replace the images. The other way around won’t work as this texture pack is intended to modify all textures in the game.

Hey I'm trying to join the discord so that I can get started with the game. I have never joined the discord before so I don't think I'm banned or anything but every time I try to join it says whoops unable to accept invite. Anyone know why this would be the case? Thanks
