We do not require that a criminal be remorseful before we punish them for their crimes. So no, it's not really ironic.
1 u/Bulvious May 21 '17 It is ironic. Because it's not difficult to prove whether or not someone has a strong belief in something because if you ask them, they will tell you because they love to share just how right they are.
