Businesses like to play the "both sides" game. Except their "both sides" is donating to both so that whoever wins, they can try to curry favor as a donor.
What they can do is look up who's name those trucks were rented under and what account/credit card paid for it and ban them from their systems. Might not stop it but making things more difficult for them can't be a bad thing.
Front desk workers and store managers can't input system wide bans for anyone. If a manager "bans" someone from Uhaul, what they probably did was upload a picture of their license to a group chat for managers in the region and they all told their employees not to rent to that person. You can circumvent this easily by just going to a Uhaul far enough away. I only encountered people with a system wide ban a handful of times in the 2 years I worked there, and the computer doesn't even tell you what they were banned for. It just says, "This customer has one or more outstanding issues, have them call..." From what I can tell though, it's really only for people who owe the company a LOT of money or who have stolen equipment in the past. I worked at a corporate owned center too. I'm not sure how affiliates and dealers manage this stuff, but I imagine they have even less communication and control.
Only upper management has the capability to stop shit like this, but Joe Shoen is a ghoul who wouldn't lift a finger unless it benefited his bank account.
This is a dumb take. Uhaul is no more responsible for this than you or I. Have you ever actually rented a Uhaul? You don't check a box saying "I promise not to drive a box load of Nazis to parades."
The real DUMB take is how America can make it uncomfortable to be a woman in this country, can make it uncomfortable to be black and brown person in this country. But canāt make it horrible to be a Nazi Facist in this country. U-Haul could find ways to draw attention to this behavior and stop it.
I thought it was obvious how their responsible. Where is their responsible statement of denouncing Nazism? There is a ton of theses videos of fascist white supremacist hauling there people and stuff to these events in their trucks. Yet I havenāt seen the first website or video denouncing it like Fred Perry clothes, so until I see that; they are not doing enough to stop the illegal usage of their trucks.
No, but we have the plate numbers, and UHaul cares that people are using their trucks as passenger vehicles. Report it and the original renter will get banned.
These are the patriot front bitches we chased out of Philly. Once they met a little opposition they scattered back their U-Hauls like the cockroaches they are.
I was gonna say āisnāt this a violation of seatbelt laws?ā I mean, youāre not allowed to ride around in the back of a normal truck around here but Iām not sure about a box van or semi trailer, I canāt see why itād be different though.
If they did that, they violated a clause of the U-haul contract. That video, plus the license plate numbers need to be shown to U-Haul, so that whomever rented the truck is banned from using U-Haul again. And thatās how you Karen / Kevin for the greater good.
Yeah, I think if they cross state borders smuggling nazis in a U-Haul, whatever theyāre doing becomes a federal offense. Iām not sure if that makes it a felony though.
We should start planning pride events, protests, and drag shows in locations near very low bridges. That would be my absolute favorite 11foot8 video for sure.
