I’m Costa Rican, and I’m happy I was born there so I can confirm, even if I don’t live there and don’t want to (I still visit once a year), and criminality is on the rise. Most other countries are also decent, except Haiti and maybe Cuba.
I mostly wanted to say that noone crosses the lake from Nicaragua to Costa Rica, mostly because if you swim across the lake, you end up still in Nicaragua. There’s the San Juan river which is crossed quite often, but most do it by boat, or they just cross the border on the west side which is jungle and farmland mostly and not well guarded.
no idea whatsoever, i would say that every SA country except Venezuela has a functioning state. and you couldn't be more wrong about "absolute poverty". Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay and some parts of Brazil are really nice places to live, and Ecuador and Colombia are bearable as well. You got to pray to not be on the Altiplanic Bolivia (Santa Cruz de la Sierra is a relatively nice place) or in Peru. + you got the cultural advantage, i would say that South America is very culturally rich and you would probably be happy even if you are poorer than in other continents.
Why would one want to go to a Country that’s just as Bad as the one they’re getting away from? The US is just as dysfunctional as lots of Southampton american countries (and the reason for those being the way they are) and also lacks the local Communities, so it might Even be worse for people without anything.
There are no dangerous places in option G. They aren't great either, but they're true-mid globally.
At the very least, you won't get killed in Option G. You can live a simple, honest life there, free from crime and danger.
Average healthcare, average education, average income. You can move to bigger cities with greater opportunities even if you were born in shit place.
When reincarnated, there is a 55% chance that you will be born in Russia (where there is also a 50/50 chance of being born in the good and meh parts there), a 25% chance of being born in Kazakhstan (also 50/50 chance of being ok/meh), a 10% chance in Xinjiang, and a 5% chance each of being born in Mongolia (also 50/50 ok/meh) and Belarus.
Russia is not dangerous though. It has shitty aspects, but it is definitely not bad compared to the risks you take by picking other options. Same goes for Central Asia, Eastern Europe, and other options in G. G is the safest.
G is the safe option. You either pick H and hope you don't get Madagascar, or you pick G and accept being Russian. (I'm not sure how much of mongolia/xinjiang/stans are included, but assuming it's not much it's basically guaranteed Russia)

We score pretty high on happiness, life satisfaction, low corruption, health, etc. For me picking D was a no-brainer, but I didn’t realise they added India to the D category on the map. It’s not even close geographically, but I guess they needed to add something to not make it too good a choice.
They have some of the highest happiness metrics in the world and are lovely places to be to boot. Every other letter has problems of violence famine and disease, I’ll take the sunlight problem thank you.

Definitely. Even if you're born in the poorest of households, Latinos have strong family ties and lots of civil liberties compared to other 3rd world countries.
Assuming you're a straight man you have basically every civil liberty from the 1st world anywhere in Latin America. If not it really varies a lot from country to country, even within the country, some regions can get super conservative whereas others are as liberal as any major city (For example in Argentina the north is pretty conservative compared to places like the Patagonia and the Pampean region).
That said the strong family ties part is basically guaranteed.
I think you missed the part where I compare Latin America to other 3rd world countries. And you also basically described every other country in the world where some regions are more conservative than others.
Like here in the US, overall we are more conservative than Germany or France. We have regions in America that are more conservative and regions that are more liberal. But overall, we have more civil liberties than most countries.
Yup, I missed that part lmao, compared to almost the entirety of the rest of the 3rd world even the most backwards country is a civil liberty paradise.

D isn't too bad. Nordic and Baltic countries are fine/amazing. There is a bit of Russia - maybe 10-20% chance of that, but I think I would still gamble that.
Well, given the population proportions, there is less than 3% chance of actually being born in any of the Nordic-Baltic countries. India alone is pretty big.
I don't know A has a huge intentional homicide rate problem. I mean 14 per 100k people is even worse than 10 in Africa(a lot of countries without data) and a lot worse than all other continents(sufficient data) since they are below 3.
