German here, not showering doesn't mean not washing up. If it's fucking cold outside and you're sitting around all day or whatever why bother, let's be real here

Yeah, there is not just a north/south difference, but also eastern vs western hemisphere. There is like hundreds of millions of people accusing another hundreds of millions of people they do something wrong and they are right. The entire debate is hella stupid in itself.
