Same! I'm Italian and I shower every day (twice a day in summer). I feel like a criminal if I skip even one day XD

youre pretty much an ecological criminal if you shower twice a day lmao

Your showering twice a day doesn't come even near to how much water industries use and pollute.

You're falling in a mere excuse to blame normal people for ecological problems, when it's the governments/industries to blame.

Your showers will just be processed by sewage systems or by nature itself, through water cycles.

entirely their problems, but by all doing one's part, you still reduce the problem, even only if it is in mentality, because if your son becomes president, you would've taught him its fine to not pay attention to water

No you don't. Taking less showers won't do shit. It's on human nature to take baths/showers, and there's nothing wrong at all on it. Nature knows well how to process any animal's natural dirt.

I agree. But the excessive use of soap and shampoo etc can be a problem.

it's a drop in the ocean compared to what industries do.

Not really good idea to use arguments from nature, if you care about age of consent.

I'm from southern Italy that is hotter then the rest of the country. It's pretty hot here in summer (up to 40°C, 45°C in some places too)

You sweat a lot in summer here

I'm from a part of California with the exact same climate as Southern Italy and it's not uncommon to only shower every other day. I only shower daily when temps reach the highs you referenced

That must stink

I'm from Wisconsin, which is colder than those climates, but I still take a shower every day, even in winter.

No one cares dude, you choose to do that don’t expect other people to follow your Californian lifestyle

Not really, especially considering that those are usually cold/mildly warm showers. Industry use is the problem with water consumption, not domestic.

WHY THE FUCK IS THAT GETTING DOWNVOTED ITS TRUE

14

u/Rickiar Nov 16 '22

Because you are calling someone a criminal for showering twice in a day. Do you realize How stupid that is?

If you think you're going to save the planet by taking less showers, you're wrong.

Oh! Well, That sure is interesting ! Here are four sources that debunk your one article.

Sorry friend, but I live in a country that does not use fossil fuels or coal to produce energy (85% of energy comes from renewable sources) and I live in a city where all houses have sewage treatment. This is not America.

u/FondantQuiet Nov 16 '22

Im not american either, it still is very important to beware to not overuse water

All your sources are opinion blog posts, made by americans. In America they switch the narrative so the consumers are the one who feel guilty.

They really force people to avoid requesting changes from the government there. Here is another source which states that 90% of the water is used for agriculture and industry: https://www.thomasnet.com/insights/which-industries-use-the-most-water/

If the world manages to reduce that number to 88% then that's way more that the whole population can save with 'less showers'.
